- The official Chinese firmware cannot be updated to global firmware in this way;
- it is also impossible to update the stable firmware of the developer;
- This method allows you to install only official firmware, no custom ones.
Firmware instructions:
Download official firmware in .zip format to your smartphone. You can download it from the official MIUI website. Then on your smartphone, launch the Update application, in which you click on the three dots in the upper right corner. There you select “Select firmware file” and select the firmware that you downloaded. The smartphone should reboot and start updating. Just wait for the update to finish.
2. Via MiFlash
This method is now not very relevant without an engineering cable, since in new firmware versions Xiaomi has disabled the ability to switch to EDL mode.
