Earwax is a secretion of the glands of the external auditory canal, contains proteins, lipids, immunoglobulins and lysozyme, which maintain skin hydration and protect it from damage and bacteria. It usually removes itself when chewed. The secretion of sulfur increases many times when irritated by dust, water, in-ear headphones or earplugs, cotton swabs, metabolic disorders, sudden climate change or skin diseases; it does not have time to be removed and, accumulating, can form a sulfur plug, which can cause hearing loss, headache, nausea, dizziness, vomiting.

Operating principle

Earwax is the secretion of the glands of the external auditory canal. It usually removes itself when chewed. The secretion of sulfur increases many times with irritation: dust, water, earphones or earplugs, cotton swabs, metabolic disorders, sudden climate change or skin diseases. Sulfur does not have time to be removed, accumulating, it can form, which can cause hearing loss, headache, nausea, dizziness, and vomiting.

The Remo-Vax hygiene product is intended for the most effective, gentle, non-traumatic cleansing of the ear canal, softening and removing excess earwax and “ sulfur plugs» and prevention of the formation of sulfur plugs, including with increased formation of sulfur, when using hearing aids, telephone headsets and in-ear headphones, after exposure to dusty or humid areas, water sports and recreational activities.

Drops on the left, spray on the right

Remo-vax contains substances that promote the separation of dead cells. Effective penetrants promote better penetration into the thickness of the cork and soften its dense part. Humectant agents help moisturize the wax plug, making it easier to wash away. Remo-Vax does not contain aggressive agents or antibiotics, so it can be used by patients of all ages.

Indications and contraindications

  • Ear hygiene to cleanse the ear canal from excess earwax;
  • Dissolution of “sulfur plugs”;
  • Prevention of the formation of sulfur and epidermal plugs.

Remo-Vax cannot be used when:

  • Hypersensitivity to the components of the composition.
  • Inflammation or pain in the ears.
  • Discharge from the ear canal.
  • Perforation of the eardrum.
  • The presence of a shunt in the eardrum, as well as in the first 6–12 months after removal of the shunt.

In some rare cases, local allergic reactions, the appearance of discomfort in the ear canal, skin irritation and short-term dizziness.

Mode of application

Removing wax plugs using a spray

When using a new bottle, spray 3-5 times into the air or onto a tissue until normal atomization occurs. Make sure you spray away from yourself. If the product has not been used for a while, test the spray by spraying 1-2 times into the air or onto a tissue.

  1. Hold the Remo-Vax bottle in your hands for several minutes to warm it to body temperature. Insert the tip of the Remo-Vax spray into the external auditory canal. Apply 2-3 injections of Remo-Vax spray into the external auditory canal.
  2. Gently pull your earlobe up and down several times and massage it in a circular motion. Remo-Vax begins to act within 20–60 minutes. If necessary, you can leave a small piece of cotton wool soaked in the solution in your ear overnight.
  3. After use, remove the spout tip, wash it with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, dry and place it on the bottle spout. Never use a spray bottle without a spout tip!

The ear canal must be rinsed after each use of the spray to completely clean the ear canal of dissolved wax/cerumen plug residues. Rinse the ear canal clean water body temperature using a microsyringe.

Rinsing the ears with a micro-syringe

  1. Fill a micro-syringe with warm water at 37 °C.
  2. Carefully insert the tip of the microsyringe into the ear canal a few millimeters and rinse the ear, gently pressing on the microsyringe. Do not insert the tip of the microsyringe deep into the ear canal!
  3. Repeat the rinsing several times until the water pouring out of the ear is completely clear. Wipe off the discharge from the ear with a cotton swab.
  4. Repeat the procedure with the other ear.

Rinsing your ears should not cause pain. If pain occurs, you should stop rinsing your ears and consult a doctor.

For regular ear hygiene and prevention of wax plugs, use Remo-vax spray once a month. In the case of old and dense wax plugs, it is recommended to repeat the application of the spray and rinsing the ear for three days in a row.

Do not use a cotton swab or other objects to penetrate deep into the ear canal - they cause microtraumas that serve as an “entry gate” for infection and can lead to the development of external otitis media and injury to the eardrum.

Application in childhood, during pregnancy and lactation:

  • Remo-Vax is approved for use in children. Before use, you should consult a specialist.
  • Remo-Vax is approved for use during pregnancy (1st–3rd trimester) and lactation.

If you have problems with movement coordination, movement disorders or hand tremors, you need to ask someone to drop Remo-Vax spray into the ear canal.
