Surah from the Koran Al Baqarah. Studying short suras from the Koran: transcription in Russian and video

The importance of the last 2 verses of Surah Al-Baqarah

An authentic hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) states that reading these two verses at night is enough to protect oneself from evil, and the reason for this is their glorious meaning.

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Allah completed Surah Al-Baqarah with two verses and rewarded me from the treasury that is under his Highest Throne. You too learn these verses, teach them to your wives and children. These verses can be read in both ways dua."

“Whoever reads Amana-r-rasula before going to bed will be as if he had performed a divine service until the morning.”

"Allah gave me Surah Al-Baqarah from the treasury under His Throne. This was not given to any prophet before me."

Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “An intelligent person will not go to bed without reading the last verses of Surah Al-Baqarah.”

Abd Allah ibn Masud said: “The Messenger of Allah to Miraj was granted three things: prayer five times a day, the last verse of Surah Al-Baqarah and intercession for those who died without ascribing partner to Allah.”

(Surah of Medina) In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful! This sura is of Madinian origin and consists of 286 verses. It was sent down to Muhammad - may Allah bless him and greet him! - after the Hijra to Medina. Surah al-Baqarah is the longest surah of the Qur'an in terms of the order of the suras in it. This surah begins with a detailed explanation of the thoughts contained at the end of surah al-Fatihah. She emphasizes that the Qur'an is a guide sent by Allah for the pious. It tells about believers to whom Allah has granted His favor, and about infidels and hypocrites who have incurred the wrath of Allah. This surah points to the truth of the Koran, its true call to piety and the fact that people are divided into three categories: those who truly believe in Allah, those who do not recognize Allah, and hypocrites. The sura calls on people to worship only Allah alone, contains a warning to non-believers and good news for believers. Surah al-Baqarah tells about the sons of Israil (Israel), reminds them of the days of Allah's mercy to them, of the times of Musa (Moses) - peace be upon him! - and about the history of the sons of Israel with him, filled with amazing events. Almost half of the sura is dedicated to reminding the children of Israel about the efforts of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Ismail to build the Kaaba. These types of stories are used as edification and advice to believers to think before they act, taking as an instructive lesson what happened to the Jews and Christians. The sura contains an appeal to the people of the Koran, indicates the commonality between the people of Musa and the people of Muhammad thanks to Ibrahim (his leadership and descendants) and tells about the Qiblah. This surah talks about monotheism and the signs of Allah confirming this, about polytheism, about forbidden foods and about what only Allah can prohibit and permit. It explains what piety is, and also contains Allah's instructions regarding fasting, making a will, acquiring people's property by deception, retribution, fighting in the path of Allah, pilgrimage (Hajj), minor pilgrimage (Umrah), wine, maysir (gambling), marriage and divorce, setting a period after divorce for wives during which they cannot marry another person, feeding a child by the mother, spending money, trading, promissory notes, usury, debts, etc. The sura also talks about creed, monotheism and resurrection - all this is clearly stated in the sura in order to guide a person to the true path and teach him how to conduct his affairs correctly. The sura ends with a prayer of believers addressed to Allah to support them and help them against the infidel people. The sura contains a number of edifications: following the straight path of Allah and his religion leads to happiness in the present and in the future life; A reasonable person should not, calling others to piety and good deeds, shy away from this himself; good is preferable and evil is unacceptable. Surah al-Baqarah clearly indicates that religion is based on three postulates: unconditional recognition of Allah, true belief in the Day of Resurrection and Judgment and good deeds. Reward is given for faith and deeds. The condition of true faith is complete and humble obedience of the soul and heart to everything that was revealed to the prophet. The surah says that non-Muslims will be dissatisfied with Muslims until Muslims follow their religion. Guardianship according to Sharia should belong only to those who believe in Allah and people of justice, and not to the unbelievers, the wicked, and the unjust. Faith in the religion of Allah as it was revealed requires unity and agreement between people, and violation of this condition leads to disagreement and split. Patience and prayer help a person to accomplish great deeds. Allah allowed His slaves good food and forbade food that was harmful to humans. And only Allah has the right to permit and prohibit. If, due to circumstances, a person is forced to eat forbidden food in order to save his life, this will not be a sin. After all, Allah does not impose on a person anything that is impossible for him. It also indicates that no one will be punished for the atrocities committed by others; indicates such a quality as virtue, and that a person should not expose himself to unnecessary danger in order to achieve his goals, which he can achieve by generally accepted actions; on the duty of a Muslim towards himself and others and on his duties towards the Creator. Religion prohibits violence. Islam allows fighting only to defend oneself and to ensure the freedom and sovereignty of Islam in one's society. Every person should try to live according to the laws of Allah in this life, preparing himself for the future life. Faith and patience lead to the victory of the just believing minority over the unjust unbelieving majority. It is prohibited to unjustly take the property of others. A person is rewarded only for his actions, and not for the actions of other people. A reasonable person understands the wise essence of Sharia, which contains truth, justice and protects the interests of people

[#] 141. Why do you Jews and Christians argue about these people? This is a people who have already left: for them is what they acquired, and for you what you acquired. And you won't be held accountable for what they did.

[#] 142. The foolish among the Jews and the foolish among the polytheists and hypocrites will say, condemning the believers: “What turned them away from the Qibla, towards which they worshiped?” Tell them (O Muhammad!): “Allah has the power of the east and the west, and all directions. He chooses which way to turn to the Qiblah. He leads whomever He wishes along the righteous path. In accordance with the Scripture revealed to Muhammad, the real Qiblah is located in the Kaaba."

[#] 143. We have made you, Muslims, a community of mediators, endowed with prudence and wisdom, so that you will be witnesses of human deeds and so that the Messenger will be a witness of your deeds and lead you along the righteous path, and so that you will be guided by his Sunnah even after his death. First We made the Qibla in Jerusalem, which you, Muhammad, adhered to. This was done in order to recognize those who are obedient to Allah and will follow the Prophet Muhammad, and those who, due to excessive, fanatical love for their Arab family and the heritage of Ibrahim, are not obedient to Allah and do not want to follow the righteous path, specified in the Koran. Turning towards Jerusalem was difficult, but not for those whom Allah led on a straight path. The one who turned to Jerusalem in a timely manner, when he was ordered, will never lose faith. After all, Allah is not such as to destroy your faith. Allah is meek and merciful with people!

[#] 144. We see how you (O Muhammad!) turned your face to the sky, hoping that Allah would send you a Revelation, inspiring you to turn towards the Kaaba instead of Jerusalem: after all, you love the Kaaba, because it is the Qibla of Ibrahim, the first of the messengers and the forefather of the Jews and Arabs, and in it the House of Ibrahim. Verily, this is the general Qibla, different from the Qibla of the Jews. And so We turn you to the Qiblah, with which you will be pleased. Turn your face towards the Forbidden Mosque! And, believers, wherever you are, turn your faces towards her! The people who have been given the Book condemn you for turning towards the Kaaba, although they know from their Scriptures that this is an order from God, that you are the people of the Kaaba and that Allah ordains the Qiblah for every religion, but they want to sow doubt in your hearts regarding to your religion and turn you away from it. Allah is not oblivious to what you do!

[#] 145. Those who have been given the Book do not recognize your Qiblah because of stubbornness and unwillingness to follow the indicated path, and no matter what proof you, O Messenger, present to them, they will still not turn to your Qiblah. If the Jews hope that you will turn (O Muhammad!) to their Qibla, and connect their acceptance of the Islamic religion with this, then they hope in vain. You will not turn to their Qiblah. And those who have been given the Book do not follow the Qiblah of others. Christians do not follow the Qiblah of the Jews, and Jews do not follow the Qiblah of the Christians. Each community thinks that only it is right. Follow your Qiblah and don't listen to them. And if you follow the path of their passions after the knowledge has come to you, you, of course, then will be one of the wicked

[#] 146. Those to whom We have given the Scripture know that turning to the Qibla in Mecca is the truth, and they know that you are the messenger who is mentioned in the Scriptures revealed to him and in which it is said that you pray by turning to side of the Kaaba. They know this truth as well as they know their sons, but among them there are those who hide this truth, although they know it, following their passions out of fanaticism for their religion, in order to maintain their power and mislead you

[#] 147. The truth comes from your Lord, Allah the Most High (O Muhammad!). Be confident and do not listen to the lies that unbelievers say. Do not be one of those who doubt the address to the Qiblah in Mecca!

[#] 148. The Qibla to which We have turned you is your Qibla and the Qibla of your community. Each community has its own Qibla, which it faces during prayer in accordance with its religion. There is no superiority in this. Try to outstrip each other in good deeds, and Allah will reward you for it. Wherever you are, Allah will gather you all on the Day of Resurrection. Verily, Allah is powerful over every thing - over death and over resurrection!

[#] 149. And wherever you come from, and wherever you are - at home or on the road, turn your face when praying towards the Forbidden Mosque, for this is the truth from your All-Forgiving Lord. Follow this truth, you and your community. Allah does not remain neglectful of your deeds and actions and will reward you for this. Verily, He knows all your deeds!

[#] 150. And wherever you come from, turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque, and wherever you are, at home or on the road, turn your faces, community of Muhammad, towards it, so as not to provoke unjust people , opposing themselves to you, complaints, if you do not turn to the Qiblah indicated to you by Allah. Then the Jews will say: “How is it that Muhammad prays with his face towards Jerusalem, while the messenger mentioned in our Scripture should pray with his face towards the Kaaba?” And the Arab polytheists will say: “How come Muhammad does not turn towards the Qibla of Ibrahim, although he says that he adheres to his religion?” The wicked and those who deviate from the path of Allah from both groups will say that you turn towards the Kaaba because you love your community and your homeland very much. Do not be afraid of them - after all, they will not be able to harm you - but fear and do not disobey Me, so that I can complete my mercy to you - perhaps, thanks to this Qibla, you will stand firmly on the righteous path!

[#] 151. You began to turn your face towards the Forbidden Mosque after We appointed you a messenger from among you: he reads Our verses to you, teaches you the Scripture and wisdom, cleanses you - your souls and minds - from the filth of polytheism, immorality and wicked habits and teaches you things that were previously unknown to you. Previously, you lived in paganism, in deep error and did not follow the righteous path of truth

[#] 152. Remember Me, believers, by the fulfillment of My covenants. I will remember you with My reward. Be grateful to Me for the good and do not disobey My commands!

[#] 153. O believers, seek help from patience and prayer - the basis of Islamic rituals. Indeed, Allah favors the one who is patient and steadfast in spirit!

[#] 154. Truly, patience leads to goodness and happiness in the immediate life and in the future! Do not give up fighting in the path of Allah and do not be afraid of death! People who died in the path of God are not dead! No! They are alive, in paradise, but those alive in the next life do not understand this

[#] 155. Patience is the believer’s shield and his weapon. With it he overcomes the difficulties and troubles he encounters. We test you in one way or another: fear, hunger, lack, some losses of property, the lives of loved ones and fruits. Only perseverance will save you from these difficult trials. Give joy (O Muhammad!) to those who are patient,

[#] 156. those who, when a calamity befalls them, believe that good and calamity are from Allah, the Omnipresent, and say: “Verily, we are in the power of Allah, and only to Him will we return! We thank Him for the blessings and suffer calamities both with reward and with punishment"

[#] 157. These are those upon whom blessing and mercy are from their Lord, and they are guided by the right path

[#] 158. Just as Allah exalted the Kaaba, making it the Qibla, towards which Muslims need to turn during prayer, He exalted “as-Safa” and “al-Marwa” - two hills, making them sacred places of God for performing one of the rituals of Hajj. And there is no sin in the fact that the one who makes a pilgrimage to the House or visits it, after circumambulating the Kaaba, will walk between these two hills. There were people among you who did not want to do this, because this was done during the time of paganism. But, truly, this is one of the rituals of Islam. A believer should strive for good deeds. Allah knows all the deeds of believers and will reward them for it

[#] 159. Those who denied your religion are divided into two groups: the first - those who know the Scripture and the truth, but deliberately conceal it out of stubbornness; the second is unbelievers, whose hearts are so blinded that they do not know the truth and believe in polytheism, and not in the One God. The People of the Book who recognized (O Muhammad!) your truth in the signs, comprehended the truth of your religion, but hide from people what We have sent down to them from the clear signs of direct guidance, after We have clarified it to the people in the Book - these will be cursed by Allah and will not spare them, and the cursing believers, jinn and angels will curse them, wishing for them to lose the mercy of Allah

[#] 160. Except those who turned to Allah with repentance, did good and clarified what was hidden about the Messenger and Islam. Allah will accept their repentance and forgive their sins: after all, He is Merciful, Forgiving and forgives the sins of people!

[#] 161. Those who did not believe and died as infidels and did not repent - upon them is the curse of Allah, the angels and all righteous people!

[#] 162. They will remain under this curse forever, and in hell their punishment will not be lightened and no reprieve will be given to them if they ask

[#] 163. Your God is One! There is no other deity except Him, the Gracious, the Merciful! He was merciful to His servants in their creation and creation

[#] 164. Allah sent signs to every intelligent person about His existence and Divine power. Truly, in the structure of the heavens, where the planets move regularly and from where heat and light come for our world, in the creation of the earth, where there is sea and land, in the beneficial cycle of day and night, in the ships that sail the seas to transport people and the things they need. loads, in the water that Allah sends down from the sky and revives the earth, plants and livestock with it, in everything that He scattered on the earth, in the change of winds and the movement of clouds forced to rush between heaven and earth - the signs of Allah for those who understands! Was it created by itself, or is it the creation of Allah, the Omniscient and Almighty?

[#] 165. Despite the clear signs of Allah, among people there are those whose hearts have become blind, and they worship other deities along with Allah. They listen to them, honor and love them, as only God should love. And those who believe love Allah alone and always sincerely obey Him. But if misfortune befalls the polytheists, they begin to doubt their deities and turn to Almighty Allah. If these wicked people knew the punishment they would suffer on the Day of Retribution, they would understand that Allah is Almighty over everything and is severe in His punishment, and they would not commit their sinful acts

[#] 166. On the Day of Retribution, those who led others, who were examples to others in unbelief and disobedience, will separate from those who followed them and say to them: “We did not call you to follow us in the sinful path "It was your desire and unreasonable behavior." The connections and friendships that existed between them in their immediate life will be severed, and those they followed will become enemies with those who followed them

[#] 167. And those who followed them will understand that they were in error, following an unrighteous path, and will say: “Oh, if only it were possible for us to return from here! We would separate from them just as they separated now from us!" So Allah will show them their sinful deeds, and they will repent, being thrown into hell, and there is no way out of the fire for them.

[#] 168. O people! From what is on earth, eat only what is good and permitted by Allah. Do not follow the shaitan, who tempts you to eat what is unlawful or to refuse what is permitted by Allah. After all, you already know that the shaitan is your sworn enemy and pushes you to do bad deeds

[#] 169. Shaitan pushes you to do evil, vile deeds. He only harms you. He will sow doubts in you, excite your imagination with false illusions. And you will blame on Allah what you yourself do not know about regarding what is forbidden and permitted.

[#] 170. Those who do not follow the straight path are accustomed to following what their fathers followed. And when they are called upon to follow what Allah has sent down, they answer: “No, we will not abandon what we found our fathers doing.” Preferring the “path of the fathers” to the straight path indicated by Allah is a great sin. Was it really even when their fathers were devoid of understanding and did not follow the straight path?

[#] 171. He who calls the disbelievers who deny His signs to the Truth of Allah is like a shepherd who shouts at the cattle, and they cannot distinguish words, but only hear the call and cries and do not understand anything: they are deaf, dumb, blind to the truth, they don’t say or mean anything good

[#] 172. We allowed people to eat the lawful food that We provided for them on earth, and forbade them to follow in the footsteps of Satan. If they do this, they will follow the straight path of truth. And if they do not do this, We will only show the believers what is permitted and what is prohibited, and guide them to the straight path. O you who believe! Eat from the good food We have provided for you, and thank Allah for His mercy in allowing you good food and guiding you to the path of obedience to Him, so that your worship of Him may be complete!

[#] 173. Forbidden food is not what the disbelievers talk about. It is forbidden for you, O believers, to eat only carrion, blood, pork, and that which is slaughtered in the name of others and not Allah. Whoever is forced to eat forbidden food without being wicked or disobedient - there is no sin on him, provided that he does not eat more of this forbidden food than is required to satisfy his hunger, and does not strive to get it, as they did in the days ignorance. After all, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful!

[#] 174. But there are those who know who hide parts of the Scripture revealed by Allah in order to gain some privileges in their lives: after all, the Jews hid much of the Torah about the Messenger and his attributes, fearing that those who followed the teachings of the Torah would become Muslims, and they will lose their power and privileges. Those who hide what Allah has revealed in the Torah, and thereby acquire something of little value from transitory goods, fill their bellies only with fire. Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection and will not purify them. For them - a strong, painful punishment!

[#] 175. They are those who chose error over the straight path of Allah and thereby deserved punishment instead of forgiveness. They will be punished in the Hereafter and will not be forgiven. Thus, they bought lies for truth and error for the straight path of Allah. It’s amazing how they are not afraid of punishment and do everything that leads them to it!

[#] 176. The punishment they are facing is retribution for their disbelief in the Scripture of Allah, which was revealed to them with the truth. Those who love to bicker and argue among themselves, have distanced themselves from the truth, disagreeing with this Scripture, distorted the Scripture of Allah, explaining it incorrectly, of course, will find themselves in schism

[#] 177. People talk a lot about Qibla - where should they turn their faces: to the east or to the west. But this is not how piety is expressed. Piety and goodness are based on the foundations of true faith, virtue and worship: firstly, faith in Allah, in the Day of Resurrection and Judgment, in punishment and reward in the hereafter, faith in angels, in the Holy Scriptures revealed by Allah and in the prophets; secondly, voluntary donations from one’s property, despite the love for it, to poor relatives and orphans, the needy, travelers who do not have money to continue their journey, those who ask, those who were forced to ask by need, as well as for the liberation of slaves; thirdly, standing for ritual prayer by the hour; fourthly, distribution of purifying mercy (zakat); fifthly, fulfilling your promises; sixthly, patience and perseverance in misfortunes, disasters and during wars and battles with enemies. Those who have all these virtues and who truly believe, they are God-fearing, abstaining from sins

[#] 178. In relation to premeditated murder, Allah has prescribed laws (Sharia) for believers. O you who believe! Do not follow the unjust retribution of the pagans. We have ordained for you retaliation for intentional murder: the free for the free, the slave for the slave, and the female for the female. The basis of retribution is to kill the murderer. If those who have the right to retribution forgive the murderer, they will have the right to receive a ransom for the murdered person. They shouldn't torture the killer. The murderer must immediately make restitution for his crime. This Muslim Sharia is more humane than the law of the Torah, where retribution means killing the murderer. In Islamic Sharia there is relief from Allah and mercy, since those who have the right to retribution can forgive the murderer. Anyone who does not follow this Shariah and violates it will have a painful punishment in the present and future life.

[#] 179. Great is the mercy of Allah in Sharia regarding retribution. Thanks to her, a safe and peaceful life reigns in society. Anyone who has the thought of deliberate murder knows that he himself will die because of this, and therefore will not think about committing a crime. This way he will save his life and the life of the one he wanted to kill. If you commit an act of retribution and kill an innocent person for a criminal, as they did before under paganism, then there will be no protection and security in society. Reasonable people must understand that for them retribution means life. Perhaps they will fear God!

[#] 180. Just as Sharia law on retribution is for the benefit of people and maintaining peace in society, so Sharia law on wills is aimed at the benefit of the family and preserving its integrity. Anyone who feels the approach of death must properly dispose of their property - leave a portion of their property to their parents and close relatives who do not have the right to inheritance. He needs to do this wisely so that no one in need is deprived. A will is an obligation for believers and God-fearers

[#] 181. A will must be executed and cannot be changed if it is fair. Whoever, having heard the will, then changes it, will take a great sin on his soul and will be severely punished for this. The testator is not to blame for this. After all, Allah is Hearing, Knowing, Omniscient!

[#] 182. If the will is unfair and deprives poor relatives of part of the inheritance, and everything is bequeathed to rich relatives or distant relatives, or poor non-relatives, then there is no sin in trying to correct the injustice of the will. After all, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful!

[#] 183. O you who believe! We have prescribed retribution and a will for you to transform your society and preserve your families. We also prescribe fasting for you to educate your souls, improve your behavior, preferring you to a dumb animal that obeys only its passions and instincts. Fasting is prescribed for you, just as it was prescribed for those who came before you, so that you may fear God! Fasting nurtures and strengthens your souls

[#] 184. Fasting on certain days is prescribed for you. If Allah had willed, He would have ordered you to fast for more days, but He has not prescribed for you to fast anything that is beyond your ability. The one among you who is sick, and fasting may be harmful for this illness, and the one who is on the road, have the right not to fast. He can fast the same number of days at another time (when he returns from a trip or recovers). And those for whom it is harmful for any reason to fast (for example, old age, incurable diseases) may not fast, but in return they must feed the poor. Whoever fasts not only during the obligatory fast - Ramadan - but also fasts additionally of his own free will - this is better for him. After all, fasting is always for the benefit of those who know the rituals of religion

[#] 185. For the prescribed fast - the month of Ramadan. He is dear to Allah. In this month, the Holy Quran was revealed with clear signs and verses leading to good, as a guide for all people and as an explanation of the straight path separating truth from falsehood. Whoever of you is at home this month must fast during the month; and one who is sick or on a journey can fast for the same number of days at other times. Allah does not want difficulty for you, but wants ease, so that you can fully endure the fast and praise Allah for guiding you to the straight path. Maybe you'll be grateful!

[#] 186. I know what My servants are doing. When My servants (O Muhammad!) ask you: “Is Allah close to us so that He knows what we hide, declare or abandon?” Tell them (O Muhammad!) that I am closer to them than they can imagine. Proof of this is the prayer of the one asking, reaching Me immediately. And I answer the one who prays when he calls on Me. Let them respond to Me with faith in Me and obedience. Maybe they will follow the righteous path!

[#] 187. It is permissible for you, believers, to approach your wives on the night of fasting, when you are not fasting: after sunset and before dawn. Your wives are peace and comfort for you, and you are peace and comfort for them. Allah understands your instincts and knows that you did not approach your wives at night during Ramadan, and therefore He made it easier for you by allowing you to approach them at night. And now, having realized that this is allowed for you, touch your wives, eat and drink until the white thread in front of you can be distinguished from the black one at dawn, then observe the fast. From early morning until sunset, you should fast and not touch your wives, indulging in pious thoughts, praying and reading the Quran in mosques and places of worship. These are the laws prescribed by Allah about fasting and constant pious stay in places of worship in the last days of Ramadan for entering “i” tikaf (a special state of spirit, detached from worldly vanity), when you cannot touch women. This is how He explains His laws and instructions Allah to the people, so that they be God-fearing and renounce sinful acts

[#] 188. Do not seize other people's property through bribery and bribery. You are not allowed to take part of other people's property by criminal means unless you have a right determined by Allah (the right to inheritance, as a gift or a fair agreement). Do not bribe judges and those in authority, and do not resort to perjury or false evidence to unjustly take possession of other people's property, knowing in your heart that you are doing an evil deed. For this you will be punished.

[#] 189. You (O Muhammad!) are asked about the new moon - about the emerging new moon, which seems thin as a thread, and then increases until it is full; then it begins to decrease again and becomes the same as at the beginning. It does not exist in one state, like the sun. They ask what this change means and that there is a new moon every month. Tell them (O Muhammad!) that the repetition of these new moons, the waxing and waning of the moon, have significance in real life and in religion. They determine for people the timing of their affairs in their present life, and also determine the time of Hajj (pilgrimage), which is one of the foundations of your religion. If the moon is in the same state as the sun, you will not be able to determine the passage of time in this life or the time of Hajj. The fact that you do not know the meaning of the changes of the moon does not raise doubts about the wisdom of the Creator. Piety does not consist in entering houses from the back, unlike other people, but piety lies in fearing the wrath of Allah. Enter houses through doors like others, and follow the righteous path of Allah, so that He may be pleased with you, and fear Him. Maybe this will be your happiness, good luck and salvation from the fire of hell.

[#] 190. Fear of God is manifested in enduring difficulties in the name of Allah and in obedience to Him. Fighting the enemies of Allah is difficult. Fight in the path of Allah with those who fight you. After all, you are allowed to fight with those who attack you, but do not launch attacks yourself and do not kill anyone who is not fighting against you. Do not cross the permitted boundaries. Allah does not like aggressive people!

[#] 191. And kill those who started the battle with you, wherever you meet, expel them from Mecca - your homeland - from where they expelled you! Don’t be embarrassed to do this - after all, they did worse to you! To turn believers away from Islam, they subjected them to such torture in Mecca that believers in Allah left their homeland, taking their faith with them. The forbidden mosque is sacred and do not trample on it. But if the disbelievers disgrace it by fighting you there, kill them, and you will win with the help of Allah. This is the reward for the infidels!

[#] 192. If they resist and accept Islam, Allah will forgive them what they did before and will have mercy on them. After all, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful!

[#] 193. Fight them until they cease to persecute you and until the religion of Allah prevails. All religion belongs to Allah alone. If they believe in Allah and are saved from punishment, then there is no need to fight with them, and there should be no enmity except towards the unrighteous who commit sins and do injustice

[#] 194. If they fight you in the forbidden month, do not refuse to fight them. A forbidden month for you is also a forbidden month for them. The forbidden month is for the forbidden month. If they violate it, you must protect yourself. In the forbidden and the sacred there is retribution and equality. If anyone transgresses prohibitions against you and your sacred places, then you also transgress them against him, just as he transgressed against you. And fear Allah, and do not increase your punishment and retribution. And know that Allah is with the pious!

[#] 195. Fighting in the path of Allah requires a willingness to participate in the battle and spend from one's wealth. Spend in the path of Allah in preparation for battle and do not give up on it, lest the enemy defeats and subjugates you. Do not seek destruction, on the contrary, do everything that needs to be done with wisdom and piety. Allah loves benefactors who do everything beautifully!

[#] 196. And perform Hajj (major pilgrimage) and Umrah (minor pilgrimage) in the best possible way for the sake of Allah, and not for the sake of any benefit in this life and glory. If you intend to perform Hajj and Umrah and have entered Ihram, and the enemy hindered you on your way, then offer a sacrifice from sacrificial animals - a sheep, a camel, a cow - according to your income, and distribute it to the poor. Then you can shave or cut your hair and complete your ihram. If one of you is sick or has some kind of illness in the head and had to cut his hair, then the ransom will be fasting or almsgiving, or any pious deeds. He may shave or cut his hair, but for this he must fast for three days or feed six poor people for one day, or sacrifice a sheep and distribute the meat to the poor and needy. When you are in a safe place where there is peace and no one interferes with your path, and you intend to perform Hajj and Umrah, and having completed Umrah, you have interrupted Ihram before performing Hajj, then you will need to enter Ihram again for Hajj , sacrifice a sheep and distribute it to the poor near the Forbidden Mosque. Whoever is unable to sacrifice must fast for three days in Mecca during the Hajj and seven days after returning home. If he is a resident of Mecca, then he does not need to make a sacrifice and fast. Fear the wrath of Allah and know that Allah is severe in punishment!

[#] 197. Hajj - famous months since the time of the prophet Ibrahim - peace be upon him! These are the months: Shawwal, Dhu-l-Qada, Dhu-l-Hijjah. Whoever performs Hajj during these months must observe the rites of Hajj to purify their souls. During the Hajj, you cannot approach women (this includes: sexual intercourse, kissing, talking about these topics - all this is a sin before Allah). Debauchery and bickering are also sins during Hajj. And Allah knows the good and good that you do and will reward you for it. Look for a reserve for the future life in piety - the best reserve for the God-fearing! O you possessors of understanding, fear Allah and treat your deeds with piety!

[#] 198. Some of you were embarrassed to engage in trade during the Hajj in order to earn a living. Don't be shy about it and work properly. There is no sin on you if you seek mercy from Allah. When the pilgrims leave Arafat and get to Muzdalifa, they need to remember Allah in a sacred place - on the Sacred Mountain of Muzdalifa. From here they need to appeal to God, saying: “Labbaika!”, “Labbaika!”, i.e. “Here I am before You! O Allah! Here I am before You! There is no equal to You! Glory and praise to You! All power belongs to You!” Allahu Akbar! i.e. Allah is great! This is for pilgrims to exalt Allah, His deeds, glory, mercy and for the fact that He directed them to the righteous path of true religion and correct rituals during the Hajj. But before that they were from the deluded ones

[#] 199. Among the Arabs there were people, namely the people of Quraish, who did not stand on Mount Arafat, although they knew that their forefather, the prophet Ibrahim, stood on this mountain. This is because they wanted to distinguish themselves from other people, thinking that they are the inhabitants of the House of Allah - the Kaaba, which is wrong. They explained their refusal to leave the Kaaba and climb Arafat by their special veneration of the Kaaba and the fact that this was permitted. Allah demanded that they abandon the customs of paganism and stand on Mount Arafat, and after sunset go to Muzdalifah, like all people. All people are equal in observing the rituals of Islam. They must seek forgiveness from Allah in these sacred places. Verily, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful!

[#] 200. Having completed your pious deeds and rituals of Hajj, leave the customs of paganism - boasting about your fathers and ancestors - and give praise to Allah, and remember Him as you remember your fathers, but with even greater strength. He is your Benefactor and the Benefactor of your fathers, and the places of Hajj are places of prayer and requests for good and mercy from Allah. Among the pilgrims there are those who ask Allah for favors in the next life and do not think about the future life. These have no share in the Hereafter

[#] 201. Among people there are those who turn with their sincere hearts to God, asking to grant them goodness in the next life and in the next life and save them from the torment of fire

[#] 202. These people have a share from what they acquired by turning to Allah and relying on Him. Indeed, Allah will reward everyone according to their deserts. He is quick in calculations!

[#] 203. And give praise to Allah on the days indicated when pilgrims stone the devil in the valley of Mina, the 11th, 12th and 13th of Dhu-l-Hijjah. Whoever leaves Mina after two days (i.e. the 12th), there will be no sin on him, and whoever remains on the third day (i.e. the 13th), there will be no sin on him either. The most important thing is fear of God. Know that you will appear before Allah and will be responsible for your actions!

[#] 204. If fear of God is the main thing, then damage and loss will be the share of the one whose speech does not coincide with his intentions hidden in his heart. These speeches may please you (O Muhammad!) in your next life, especially since he calls Allah to witness what his soul and heart are filled with. But this type of person - the most stubborn and merciless in bickering - is your enemy

[#] 205. And if he is in power, he will not strive for the good and welfare of people, but will spread wickedness, destruction, destroy crops, people and herds. Allah does not love such a person, Allah does not love wickedness!

[#] 206. If they say to him: “Fear God!” - he is indignant, believing that this advice humiliates his pride and dignity. Pride overwhelms him and leads him to commit sin. Gehenna will be his property. What a nasty place!

[#] 207. There is a big difference between this hypocrite and a sincere believer who sacrifices himself, striving for the favor of Allah and the victory of the word of truth. If these - sincere believers - were involved in the affairs of other people, then this would be a blessing from Allah. Allah is gentle with His servants and averts evil from them thanks to the protection of true believers

[#] 208. O you believers, be peace-loving and friendly, be submissive to God, do not make tribal distinctions, as you did during paganism, and do not look for other reasons for disagreement! Do not follow in the footsteps of Shaitan, who is leading you to schism. After all, he is an obvious enemy for you!

[#] 209. And if you deviate from the straight path of Allah to which you were called, after clear signs of the righteous path of Allah have come to you, then know that Allah is Great! He punishes those who deviate from the straight path, and He is wise in assessing the punishment for sins

[#] 210. Are these unbelievers really waiting for Allah and His angels to come to them under the shadow of the clouds so that they can see Him and believe in Islam? This issue has been resolved. After all, only the Lord can decide all matters. He alone disposes of them as he wishes.

[#] 211. Ask the children of Israel, how many clear signs have We sent down to them about the authenticity of the prophet? This is the mercy of Allah, but they deviated and changed the meaning of this mercy. These clear signs were not enough for their piety and enlightenment of the soul and mind, and they plunged even deeper into delusion and sins. Anyone who betrays the mercy of Allah will be punished. After all, Allah is strong in punishment!

[#] 212. The desire for pleasure in the next life leads to deviation from faith in Allah and debauchery. The next life is decorated before the disbelievers, and they mock those who believe, think about the future life and fear the wrath of Allah. Those who are humble will be superior to the disbelievers on the Day of Resurrection. And the fact that these unbelievers have a lot of property and money in our lives does not mean that Allah prefers them. Allah's destiny in this life does not depend on belief or disbelief. Indeed, Allah, according to His desire, gives some without counting in order to tempt them, and sends to others little in order to test them.

[#] 213. Once upon a time people were one community. But they had different moral principles: some had a desire for good, others indulged in debauchery. Therefore, they differed in opinion and behavior. Allah sent prophets to them as harbingers and warners and sent down with them the Scriptures with the truth leading to the straight path of piety, so that they could judge where they differed. Only those who believed were led by Allah to the truth by His permission. Allah guides whom He wills to the straight path

[#] 214. Or do you think of entering heaven simply because you became Muslims without experiencing what those people who came before you were subjected to? They were beset by disasters and sorrows, and their spirit was so shaken that the messenger and the believers with him said: “When will there be help and victory from Allah?” Truly, Allah's help is always close!

[#] 215. Those who believe ask you (O Muhammad!), what should they spend in charity? Tell them to spend what they have earned in a straight, honest way. The good they donate goes to parents, neighbors, orphans, the needy, and wanderers. Whatever good you do, Allah knows and rewards it

[#] 216. If donations for orphans and the poor protect society from within, then fighting protects society from external enemies. O you Muslims, battle is prescribed for you to defend your religion and yourself, but it is hateful to you. And maybe what you love is evil for you. And maybe what you hate is good for you. Allah alone knows what is good for you, but you do not know. Listen to what is prescribed for you!

[#] 217. Muslims hate fighting during the forbidden months, so they ask you (O Muhammad!): “Is it necessary to fight during the forbidden months?” Tell them that waging war during the forbidden months is a great sin, but turning people away from faith in Him and from the Forbidden Mosque, expelling the believers in Allah who visit it, and expelling Muslims from Mecca, as your enemies did, is an even greater sin before Allah. They harmed Muslims to turn them away from the Islamic religion. And this is more than murder. Therefore, fighting during the forbidden months is allowed to stop this kind of evil. O Muslims, these people are unjust, and they, not accepting your logic and justice, will fight you until they turn you away from your religion, if they can. And the noble deeds of those of you who weaken from their attacks, turn away from the faith and die as infidels, will become futile in this life and in the Hereafter. These are the inhabitants of fire, they will remain in it forever!

[#] 218. Those who sincerely believed and left their homeland (moved from Mecca to Medina), defending the Islamic religion and fighting in the path of Allah, will receive a great reward from Allah and His mercy, even if they did not always fulfill their duties properly. After all, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful!

[#] 219. They ask you (O Muhammad!) about wine and maysir. Say that both of them are a great sin: harm to health, mind and money, they cause hatred and awaken aggressiveness among people, although sometimes there are benefits (fun or easy winnings). They contain more sin than benefit, and one must avoid them. You are also asked how much you should spend on good deeds. Tell them to spend on good deeds and charity from what they can save and easily give away. This is how Allah explains to you the verses containing instructions - maybe you will think about the results of your actions in the immediate and future life!

[#] 220. And they ask you (O Muhammad!) about orphans and what Islam says about duties towards them. Tell them that doing good to them is a good deed. Take them into your home and treat them in a way that fixes them, not ruins them. They are your brothers in the immediate life. Allah knows who does evil and who does good. Beware! After all, if Allah wanted, He would have deprived you and left them without indicating what to do. And then they would be raised to hate society, and this would cause damage to your community, because oppression and contempt for orphans will cause them to hate the community and lead to its damage. Truly, Allah is Great, Wise and prescribes for you only what is useful!

[#] 221. It is not forbidden to communicate with orphans, but it is forbidden to communicate with polytheists. A believer should not marry a polytheist until she believes. The wealth, beauty and noble birth of an idolater should not attract a believer. A believing woman, being a slave, is better than a free idolater, possessing wealth and endowed with beauty. Do not give your women in marriage to idolaters who do not believe in the heavenly Books until they believe in Allah. Indeed, a slave who believes in Allah is better than an idolater, even if you like him. Idolaters induce their wives to wickedness and idolatry, they lead them straight into the fires of hell. Allah will guide you along the straight path to paradise and forgiveness if you distance yourself from idolaters. Allah makes clear His statutes and guidance to people. Maybe they will come to their senses and be pious!

[#] 222. They ask you (O Muhammad!) about menstruation and the possibility of sexual intercourse with wives during this period. Tell them that this is the time of illness among wives. And do not touch them until their bleeding has stopped and they have been cleansed. When they are clean, go in to them as the Lord commanded you. Whoever violates this instruction must seek forgiveness from Allah. Indeed, Allah loves those who turn to Him with repentance and those who keep themselves clean

[#] 223. Your wives are a field for you, where you cultivate your seed of offspring. They are your field where you cultivate your feelings and love, aimed at achieving a goal, expecting pleasure and satisfaction. Go to your field whenever you wish, but first do something good for your souls. You are allowed to have normal sexual intercourse with women, as Allah has commanded. Know that you will meet Him and answer to Him. Give the believers great reward from Allah if they obey Him.

[#] 224. You should not often pronounce the name of Allah in your oaths. This does not suit the great name of Allah. Stop swearing often and unnecessarily in the name of Allah, then you will be more pious, God-fearing and will be able to reconcile people. They will respect you more, trust you and listen to your instructions. Verily, Allah hears you and knows the extent of your faith and your intentions. After all, Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing!

[#] 225. Allah forgives you for certain oaths. He does not punish you for idle talk in your vows, made without malice in your hearts, and He does not punish you for vows that you make, being sure that something happened, but in fact you were mistaken. But Allah punishes what is hidden in your hearts and for false speech confirmed by an oath. Verily, Allah is Forgiving and Tolerant of those who repent and have no evil intentions in their hearts!

[#] 226. Those who swear to no longer have conjugal relations with their wives must wait four months. And if at this time they again enter into marital relations, then the marriage continues to remain valid, but they themselves must atone for their vows. Verily, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful and will accept their atonement!

[#] 227. If they do not return to them during this period, they will harm their wives. In this case, they need to decide on a divorce. Allah the Omniscient hears their oaths, knows their condition and will reward them on the Day of Resurrection

[#] 228. A divorced woman should wait three periods (menstruation), without thinking about a new marriage, until she is sure that she is not pregnant. This period of waiting (iddah) also provides an opportunity to restore the marriage. Women are not allowed to hide what God has created in their wombs if they believe in Allah and the Last Day. Their husbands in this case have the right to return their wives and restore marital relations if they wish for reconciliation. Wives have as many rights as duties, according to the accepted Sharia. But husbands have more rights to a degree. After all, they are responsible for preserving the marriage and for the children. Verily, Allah is Almighty, Great and Wise!

[#] 229. Divorce is permitted twice. The marriage can be renewed if they can settle the misunderstandings and reconcile with each other according to the laws of Allah. In such a case, the husband can return his wife during the Iddah or remarry her if he desires reconciliation, justice and good relations with her. Otherwise, you need to let her go in a decent manner. You are not allowed to take anything from what you have given her, unless you both fear that you will not be able to fulfill the marriage obligations established by Allah. And there will be no sin on both of you if the wife redeems herself in order to achieve a divorce. These are the statutes of Allah, and do not break them. Those who violate the statutes of Allah are unrighteous and treat themselves and society unfairly.

[#] 230. If a husband divorces his wife for the third time (after two previous divorces), then after that he is not allowed (according to Sharia law) to return her until she marries someone else. If after this the second husband gives her a divorce, then there is no sin in them returning to each other and entering into a new marriage. These are the statutes of Allah, which He explains to the people who believe and have knowledge.

[#] 231. When divorcing your wives, until the period assigned to them expires (the three-month waiting period, i.e. “iddah”), you can return them if they agree, and be fair with them in future, and live in harmony or let them go in peace. Do not hold them by force for the selfish purpose of harming them. Whoever does this harms himself. He will lose happiness in his family life, the trust of others in him and will incur the wrath of Allah. Do not turn the instructions in the verses of Allah that give you responsibility for your family into a joke if you divorce your wives without reason and return them to harm them. Remember Allah's mercy towards you, His commandments regarding family life and what He has revealed to you from the Scriptures and wisdom (as examples and parables), admonishing you thereby; fear Allah and know that Allah knows everything about every thing. He judges you based on what you do and will reward you for it.

[#] 232. And when divorcing your wives, when the period determined for them has expired, do not prevent them, O you who are responsible for them, from marrying their former husbands or anyone else, provided that both agree in a decent manner for a new marriage and a friendly life. This is an admonition to those who believe in Allah and the Hereafter. This promotes healthy and pure relationships (far from promiscuous cohabitation). Verily, Allah knows the interests of people and their secrets, but they do not know!

[#] 233. Mothers feed their children for two full years; This is for those who want to complete feeding for the benefit of the child. And the one who has a child has the responsibility to feed and clothe the mother and child in a decent manner in accordance with his income. And do not expose the mother to grief for her child by giving less than she should for expenses, and do not deprive her of the right to keep the child with her. And do not upset the father by demanding expenses for his child that exceed his capabilities. There is no need for the child to be the cause of grief for the father or mother. In the event of the death of the father or his incapacity for work, the child’s heir has the same responsibilities. If both (father and mother) wish to stop feeding the child before the end of two years, keeping in mind the benefit for the child, then there is no sin on them. If the father of a child wants to entrust the child to a nurse, there will be no sin on him, provided that he honestly gives the nurse what is required according to custom. And fear God, and know that Allah sees what you do and will reward you for it!

[#] 234. For those of you who leave this world and leave behind widowed wives, widows must wait four lunar months and ten days (to make sure that they are not in a position, and also as a sign of deep sadness for their husband). When this period expires, there will be no sin on the people responsible for them if the widows lead a lifestyle in accordance with Sharia (i.e. get married). Verily, Allah is Aware of what you hide or do!

[#] 235. There is no sin over you, men, if you decently hint to a woman that you want to woo her when she is within the time limit set for her after the death of her husband, or hide this intention in your hearts. He gave you permission to just hint and not talk about it openly. Do not enter into conversations with them secretly during this time period set for them, but only speak decently with them. You cannot enter into a marriage until the appointed period has passed. Allah knows what you hide in your hearts. Fear Allah's punishment and do not do what He has forbidden. Don't lose hope in Allah's mercy. He is Forgiving and Meek, accepts repentance from His servants and forgives vices. After all, Allah is Forgiving, Meek, Tolerant and does not immediately punish those who have sinned.

[#] 236. There is no sin over you (husbands) if you divorce those wives whom you did not touch and did not seal the agreement on the prenuptial gift. Give them a voluntary monetary gift as fair compensation for the grief caused to them, according to your capabilities and income. This gift is a blessing to the virtuous

[#] 237. And if you give a divorce to wives whom you have not yet touched, but have stipulated a prenuptial gift (kalym), the wives will have the right to half of the stipulated prenuptial gift from you, unless they themselves forgive (refuse) or forgive the one who in whose hand is a marriage contract. They are entitled to only half of the prenuptial gift, but they can receive more if the husband himself gives his wife the second half of the prenuptial gift. If you give in, it will be closer to piety and fear of God. It is good to have good relationships because it promotes good relationships and love between people. After all, Allah sees what you do and will reward you for it

[#] 238. Strictly observe the prayers and honor them, and especially honor the Middle Prayer “al-Asr” (Afternoon Prayer)! Try to be humble in your prayers and stand reverently before Allah

[#] 239. If you feel danger, then pray on foot or on horseback. When the danger has passed you and you find yourself safe, maintain prayer as Allah taught you, remembering Him and thanking Him for teaching you what you did not know before and delivering you from danger

[#] 240. Those who leave this world and leave behind a wife must bequeath to her an allotment necessary for one year without leaving home. No one has the right to kick a widow out of her house during this year. And if she herself wants to leave during this year, then there will be no sin against those who are responsible for her and will allow her to do what she wants, according to Sharia law. Listen to Allah's instructions and do as He commanded. Allah can punish those who violate His laws. Truly, Allah is Great, Wise and gives His instructions in your interests, and you may not understand this wisdom

[#] 241. For divorced women - the right to receive an allotment (suitable security) in a decent amount in accordance with the husband’s capabilities, as befits pious people. This is what the God-fearing should do

[#] 242. By such interpretations and admonitions for the benefit of people, Allah clarifies His signs, suggesting that you will act prudently

[#] 243. Pay attention (O Muhammad!) to the story about people who left their homes, fearing death - and there were thousands of them. They ran away from fighting for Allah. Therefore, Allah told them: “Die! And be humiliated before the enemy.” But some of them fought courageously, and therefore Allah brought their community back to life, so that they understand that life is given only by Allah, whom we should thank, but most of the people are ungrateful!

[#] 244. If you know that while you are wary of death, you still cannot escape it, then try in the path of Allah and sacrifice yourself for the sake of His teachings. After all, Allah hears what those who fear death and those who do not participate in battle say, and what those who fight in the path of Allah say, and knows what everyone hides in his heart. He rewards good with good and evil with evil.

[#] 245. The fight for the straight path of Allah requires funds. Donate your money for this. Give Allah a good loan so that He may increase it many times over. He holds and gives to whomever he wants, for your benefit. You will be returned to Him and He will reward you for what you have done. Although provision is a blessing from Allah, He called the one who gives money for the struggle in the path of Allah a lender in order to encourage people to donate funds for this struggle and receive a double reward for this in this life and in the Hereafter

[#] 246. Pay attention to the strange request of the nobles of the sons of Israel who were after Musa, when they said to their prophet: “Give us a king who could gather us and lead us into battle in the path of Allah.” He told them, wanting to be sure of the seriousness of their intentions: “Perhaps you will not fight if battle is ordered for you?” They denied that this could happen, saying: “Why shouldn’t we fight in the path of Allah, when we and our children were expelled from our homes?” When battle was appointed, they refused, except for a few of them. Thus, they did not keep their word towards themselves, towards their religion, towards their prophet. Allah knows about their action, and they will be rewarded for it. Allah knows the wicked!

[#] 247. Their prophet said to them: “Allah has sent you Talut as king.” But the nobility was dissatisfied with Allah’s choice, saying: “How can he have power over us when we are more worthy of power than he? After all, he has neither noble origin nor wealth.” Their prophet replied that Allah had made him king over them because he had advantages in military affairs and knowledge, in government, and also in physical strength. Truly, power is in the hands of Allah, and He gives it to whomever He wishes, regardless of position and wealth. Allah is Omnipresent and Omniscient! He chooses what is in the best interests of people

[#] 248. Their prophet told them that the sign of his reign would be that he would return to them the Ark of the Torah, which would contain the remnant of what the family of Musa and Harun (Aaron) left behind; the angels will bring it to you. Indeed, this sign will convince you, and you will accept it if you truly believe in Allah!

[#] 249. When Talut set out on a campaign with his troops, he said: “Allah will test you with the river near which your path will pass. Do not drink from it more than you can scoop up in a handful: the one who drinks more will not be among my soldiers because I disobeyed Allah." But most of them drank from the river, failing the test. Talut and with him those who assured crossed the river. Seeing numerous enemy troops, they said: “We cannot fight Jalut (Goliath) today - there are many of them, and there are few of us, we will run away from them!” But those who believed that they would meet Allah said: “Do not be afraid! How many times have small detachments of believers defeated numerous detachments of infidels with the help of Allah!” Be patient! Allah is always with those who are patient!

[#] 250. When the believers found themselves in front of Jalut and his army, they turned to Allah, asking Him to instill in them firmness, strengthen their hearts with patience and grant them victory over the infidels

[#] 251. They defeated their enemy with the help of Allah Almighty, and killed Daud (David) - one of the soldiers of Talut - Jalut, the leader of the infidels. And Allah granted Daud the kingdom after Talut, and endowed him with prophecy, wisdom, useful knowledge, and taught him what He pleased. Allah always helps those who do what improves life on earth, and not those who destroy it. If Allah had not directed His warriors against the evildoers in order to put an end to their atrocities, and the evildoers to be at enmity with each other, then the earth would have been filled with misfortune. Verily, Allah is the Owner of generosity for the inhabitants of the worlds - His slaves!

[#] 252. This story is from the signs of Allah. We reveal them to you (O Muhammad!) as a parable for you and evidence that you are a true messenger; and so that you know that We will help you defeat your enemies, just as we helped the previous messengers. And indeed, you are one of the messengers!

[#] 253. To all the messengers We have mentioned, We have bestowed different qualities and advantages and elevated them to different degrees. With some, like with Musa, Allah spoke directly, some Allah raised to a degree higher than others, like Muhammad, to whom the last Divine Scripture (in which the Sharia was established) was revealed. Among the messengers was Isa, the son of Maryam, to whom We gave clear signs - the resurrection of the dead, the healing of lepers. We strengthened him with the Holy Spirit (Jibril). These messengers called people to the straight path of Allah. And if the Lord had wanted, people would not have been at enmity after the clear signs of the Messengers of Allah and would not have dispersed. But Allah did not want this, and they started discord and separated. Among them were those who believed and those who did not believe. Verily, Allah is Wise and He does what He wills.

[#] 254. O you who believe in Allah and the Day of Judgment! From the blessings that Allah has given you, spend on good deeds and do this before the Day comes on which neither friendship nor intercession will be accepted as protection for sins from anyone except Allah. The infidels will suffer because they did not respond to the call to follow the straight, just path of Allah

[#] 255. Allah - there is no god but Him, and only He should we worship. Allah is Alive, Existing and preserves the existence of all people. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overwhelms him; He alone owns what is in the heavens and on earth; and He has no equal. Who will intercede for another before Him without His permission? Allah - glory to Him Almighty! - knows everything that has happened and what will happen. No one can comprehend anything from His wisdom and knowledge except what He allows. The Throne of Allah, His knowledge and His power are greater than the heavens and the earth, and His protection of them does not burden Him. Truly, He is the Most High, the One and the Great!

[#] 256. There is no compulsion in religion. The straight path of truth is already clear with signs and differs from the path of error. Whoever believes in Allah and has rejected belief in idolatry and everything that deviates him from the Truth of Allah, has already found a reliable support that will preserve him so that he does not fall into the abyss of disbelief in Allah. Indeed, Allah hears everything you say and knows everything you do, and He will reward you for everything righteous that you do!

[#] 257. Allah is the Friend of the believers, their Supporter and Protector. He leads them out of the darkness of doubt and hesitation to the Light of truth, religion and peace. The patrons of the infidels are idols, shaitans and distributors of devilish evil and delusion, who divert them from the Light of faith, clear signs, to the darkness of idolatry and unbelief. These are the inhabitants of fire, they will remain in it forever!

[#] 258. Did you not know (O Muhammad!) the one who, like a blind man, did not see the signs of faith and argued with Ibrahim about the Lord and His Unity? Truly, he was blinded and deceived by his power given to him by Allah, which diverted him from the Light of faith and directed him to the darkness of paganism. Ibrahim told him: “Allah gives us life and death.” But he answered him that he also gives life and death when he decides to kill or have mercy on a person. Ibrahim said: “Behold, Allah commands the sun to rise from the east, you command it to rise from the west, if you are truly Lord, as you say!” The one who did not believe was thrown into confusion and stopped arguing with Ibrahim after the mentioned argument, which showed his ignorance and vanity. Allah does not guide the infidels to the righteous path!

[#] 259. Think about the meaning of this story: a person passing by a destroyed village (Jerusalem) said: “How can Allah revive the inhabitants of this village after their death?” Then the Lord put him to death for a hundred years, then revived him and asked him: “How long did you stay here?” He answered, without feeling the time, that he had been here a day or part of a day. Then the Lord told him that he had been here for a long hundred years. Allah drew his attention to another sign: “Look at your food and your drink, they have not been damaged; look at your donkey - a pile of bones. We did this so that you can see with your own eyes that We can revive the dead, and also so that "To make you a sign for people. Look at the bones, how We collect them, then dress them in flesh and resurrect them." And then the power of Allah Almighty became clear to him, and he said: “I know that Allah is powerful over every thing, Almighty!”

[#] 260. And remember also the story of Ibrahim, when he asked Allah to show how He gives life to the dead. Allah asked Ibrahim: “Are you still not convinced?” Ibrahim replied that he assured, but he wanted to see it with his own eyes so that his heart would be more calm. Then Allah said: “Take four birds, slaughter them, cut them into pieces and place them on different hills, and then call them to you: they will quickly fly to you. Know, Ibrahim, that Allah is Almighty and Wise.” If He wills something, He will only say: “Be!” - and it happens

[#] 261. Those who spend their wealth for good in the path of Allah, obeying Him, for which they will be rewarded, are like grain that grows in good soil and produces seven ears, and in each ear there are a hundred of the same grains. This is Allah's reward for spending our lives in the path of Allah. Allah doubles the reward for whomever He wishes. Indeed, the goodness of Allah is great! He knows who is worthy of reward and who is not worthy

[#] 262. Those who spend from their goodness in the way of Allah and their donations are not accompanied by boasting, reproaches and insults against those they help, will have a great reward from their Lord. They will not be afraid, and they will not be sad

[#] 263. A kind word that calms souls and does not humiliate the dignity of the poor before others is better than alms, which is followed by reproach and insult. Allah, the Glorious, the Most High, is rich and does not need charity, which is followed by insult and reproach. Allah sends a good, clean provision to the poor, and He is in no hurry to punish those who do not give alms. Maybe they will follow the path of Allah and help the poor!

[#] 264. O believers! Do not lose Allah's reward for your good deeds by accompanying them with reproaches or insults and by showing people that you are providing benefits to those in need; otherwise you will be like those who spend their wealth for fame or praise from people, without believing in Allah and the Day of Judgment. The hypocrite who gives aid in this way is like a smooth rock covered with earth, upon which a shower of rain falls and washes away the earth, leaving the rock bare. Just as a downpour washes away fertile soil from a smooth rock, reproaches, resentment and hypocrisy erase Allah’s reward for such charity. Such deeds will be fruitless and there will be no reward for them. These are qualities inherent in pagans. Deviate from these qualities. Allah does not guide the disbelievers to the straight path to good.

[#] 265. Those who spend from their property, desiring to be pleasing to the Lord, striving to strengthen their faith, are like the owner of a garden on a fat hill, which produces fruit even with little rain and when heavy rain falls on it. If there is a rainfall, the garden will bear fruit twice as much, but even with a little rain the garden will bear fruit, because the soil is fertile. Good deeds do not go to waste for sincere believers. Allah sees everything you do!

[#] 266. Would any of you want to have a garden full of palm trees and vines, in which streams would flow and in which there would be all kinds of fruits; and old age would have come while he had small children; and a hurricane would come and lightning would burn this garden, which the owner so needed in his old age? Such will be the one who gives alms and accompanies it with reproaches, insults and hypocrisy, crossing out the good that he has done. This is how Allah explains His signs to you, perhaps you will understand!

[#] 267. O you believers! Spend the best of what you earn, or of what the earth gives you. Don’t donate anything that you would refuse if you were offered it; and even if they took it, it would only be by closing their eyes. Know that Allah is rich and He does not need your insincere good deeds. He is worthy of glory for guiding you to good deeds and piety.

[#] 268. Shaitan frightens you with poverty and tries to turn you away from good deeds so that you do not spend your property on godly deeds, but tempts you to be stingy, not to give alms and to do obscene deeds. Allah promises you His forgiveness and mercy. He knows all your actions and deeds

[#] 269. Allah grants wisdom to whomever He wills, so that he is just in speech, deeds and deeds. Whoever is given wisdom is given great blessings from Allah. Only intelligent people understand the signs of Allah and follow the signs and admonitions of the Quran, because they understand the truth well and do not give in to evil passions

[#] 270. Whatever you spend on good deeds or on evil deeds, Allah knows and will reward you for it. Whatever vow you make to Allah, He knows about it. Those disbelievers who spend their wealth for the sake of vanity and not for the sake of Allah, or accompany their alms with reproaches and resentment, or spend on wicked deeds, they will have no intercessor on the Day of Judgment to protect them from torment in the hereafter

[#] 271. If you openly give alms, but without hypocrisy, then good; and if you hide it by giving it to the poor so that they do not feel embarrassed, then it is better for you. Indeed, Allah forgives your sins for this. He knows what you hide in your hearts and what you declare. He knows your intentions in everything you do, openly or secretly.

[#] 272. It is not your responsibility (O Muhammad!) to lead them to a righteous path or to force them to do good. Your responsibility is to convey to them the commandments of Allah, and He leads whomever He wants to the straight path and opens their hearts to the true faith. Whatever you spend on good deeds and helping others is only for you. Allah will reward you for this if only you strive to fulfill your duties before God and satisfy your believing hearts and your conscience. Whatever you donate to good causes, you will be fully rewarded for it, and you will not be offended!

[#] 273. Among the poor who need to be sacrificed are those who fought in defense of the faith, and, as a result, suffering from physical disabilities that affect their ability to work, are unable to work and earn money. They are proud and don't ask for anything. Their modesty makes the unknowing think that they live in abundance, but you can tell by various signs how needy they are. Whatever you sacrifice from your goodness, Allah knows it and you will be fully rewarded for it.

[#] 274. Those who sacrifice from their wealth night and day, openly and secretly, will find their reward with the Lord. They are not afraid for their future and are not upset about what passed them by from worldly goods. There is no fear over them, and they will not be sad!

[#] 275. Those who give money on interest will be deprived of peace of mind and tranquility in work, in actions, etc., like someone who was driven into madness by the shaitan with his touch. They say that trade and usury are one and the same, since in both transactions there is exchange and profit, and therefore it should be allowed. Allah has declared what is permitted and what is prohibited - it is none of their business - and the similarities they talk about do not exist. Allah permitted trade but forbade usury. He who obeys the commandments of Allah and refrains from usury will be forgiven for what happened in the past before the prohibition of usury: his cause belongs to Allah and His forgiveness. Those who repeat this abomination are the inhabitants of the fire, they will remain in it forever!

[#] 276. Allah forbids usury and destroys the profit from growth. He increases the property from which alms are given and repays for them. Allah does not like those who insist on allowing what is forbidden by Him (like usury), and He does not like those who continue to engage in growth. Verily, Allah does not love the wicked!

[#] 277. Those who believed in Allah, listened to His admonitions, did good deeds, performed prayers, and gave purifying mercy (zakat) - they will have a great reward from their Lord. There is no fear over them for the future, and they will not be sad in anything!

[#] 278. O you who believe, fear Allah and feel reverence for Him in your hearts, and stop demanding from people what remains for you from growth, if you are true believers

[#] 279. If you do not abandon usury, as Allah has commanded you, then know that Allah and His Messenger will have a war with you: a war of faith against unbelief; but if you repent, then only your capital will remain with you, no more and no less. Do not take more, regardless of the reason for the debt, because the increase you take represents injustice to the people. And don’t take less so as not to be offended!

[#] 280. If your debtor is burdened by poverty, then wait until his affairs improve. But to show him mercy by forgiving him a debt or part of it is better for you if you know and understand the Message of Allah, in which He teaches you to be generous, magnanimous, humane

[#] 281. Fear the Day when you will all return to Allah, and every soul will receive in full what it has acquired for itself (whether from good or evil), and not one of them will be wronged

[#] 282. O you who believe, if you borrow money or anything else, or buy something on credit, or enter into a commercial transaction between each other for a certain period, then write it down to protect your rights and avoid any misunderstandings later. The scribe who draws up a receipt (agreement, contract, etc.) must do so in a fair manner. The scribe should not refuse to write, but should thank Allah for teaching Him what he did not know. The one who borrows, let him dictate, but he must fear God, his Lord, and not reduce anything from what he borrows. If the one who borrows is of little intelligence and cannot properly assess the situation, or is in poor health, or is very young, or is too old, or is dumb and cannot dictate, or does not know how to draw up an official document, then let him dictate for him responds in accordance with Sharia law and justice. And call two men to testify. And if you do not find two men, then take as witnesses a man and two women whom you agree to take as witnesses. And if one gets confused in her testimony, the other will help her remember. Witnesses, when called, must not refuse to testify. Do not neglect to provide a receipt for the debt, whether large or small, indicating the due date. This is fair before God and in accordance with Sharia, convenient for witnesses and for eliminating all kinds of misunderstandings. But if there are any personal trades or transactions between you, and if this is cash trading, you will not be guilty if you do not give receipts. In commercial transactions, in particular when selling something, when making an agreement among yourself, take witnesses. There should be no violence against the witness or the scribe. And if you cause them trouble, it will be disobedience to Allah. Fear Allah and feel in your hearts His Greatness and respect for His admonitions. This will oblige you to adhere to justice. Allah shows you your rights and responsibilities before Him. He knows everything you do

[#] 283. If you are on the road and there is no scribe to write a receipt for the debt, then the creditor takes the pledge from the debtor as a guarantee. If a person entrusts something to another person, relying on his honesty, then at the first request he must return the entrusted thing. He should think about Allah, maintain strong faith in his heart and fear Allah, praying to Him so that His goodness to him does not dry up in this life and in the next life. Do not hide your testimony when you are called to testify. Anyone who hides evidence is a sinner with an unclean heart. Verily, Allah knows what you do and will reward or punish you according to your deeds.

[#] 284. Know that to Allah belongs everything in the heavens and on earth! You must understand that everything that you discover or hide in your souls, Allah, the Omniscient, knows and will exact from you for it on the Day of Judgment. Then He will forgive whomever He wishes and punish whomever He will. Truly Allah Almighty is omnipotent over us!

[#] 285. Messenger Muhammad - may Allah bless him and greet him! - believed in what was sent down to him from his Creator, and the believers believed in it. Each of them believes in Allah, His angels, His Scriptures and His messengers. They believe in all the messengers of Allah and treat everyone with respect, saying: “We do not discriminate between any of His messengers.” They confirmed the faith that was strengthened in their hearts with their words: “We have heard and we obey! Your forgiveness, Lord, is for us, and to You is our return!”

[#] 286. Allah does not burden the soul with anything other than what is possible for it. Each soul has what it has acquired: a reward for good and punishment for evil. You who believe, turn to Allah and ask: “Our Lord! Do not punish us if we have forgotten or sinned. Our Lord! Do not place on us the burden that You placed on those who came before us! Our Lord! impose on us what we cannot bear. Deliver us, forgive us and have mercy on us! Thou art our Lord, help us against the infidel people, so that Thy Word may be exalted and Thy religion may spread!"

O you who believe! If you make a contract for a debt for a certain period, then write it down, and let the scribe write it down fairly. The scribe should not refuse to write it down as Allah taught him. Let him write, and let the borrower dictate, and fear Allah his Lord, and take nothing away from it. And if the borrower is weak-minded, weak, or unable to dictate for himself, let his trustee dictate fairly. Call two men from your number as witnesses. If there are not two men, then one man and two women whom you agree to accept as witnesses, and if one of them makes a mistake, then the other will remind her. Witnesses should not refuse if invited. Do not be burdened to write down the contract, be it large or small, down to indicating its term. This will be fairer before Allah, more convincing for testimony and better for avoiding doubts. But if you make a cash transaction and pay each other on the spot, then there is no sin on you if you do not write it down. But call witnesses if you enter into a trade agreement, and do not harm the clerk and the witness. If you do this, you will commit a sin. Fear Allah - Allah teaches you. Allah knows all things.

The Creator commanded His servants to take care of the preservation of their rights during transactions and agreements through useful rules that are so beautiful that even prudent men are unable to come up with more perfect regulations. Several useful conclusions can be drawn from this revelation. 1. Shariah allows borrowing money and purchasing goods on credit, since Allah has said that the faithful do so. Any actions that can be characterized by the faithful are the result of their faith and conviction, and mention of them signifies the approval of the Almighty Ruler and Judge. 2. When concluding agreements on debt obligations and lease of property, the expiration date of the agreement must be indicated. 3. If, when concluding such contracts, the expiration dates are not specified, then they are illegal because they can lead to dangerous consequences and are similar to gambling. 4. The Almighty ordered that agreements on debt obligations be written down. This requirement is mandatory if compliance with rights is mandatory, for example, if a power of attorney is issued or an agreement is concluded on guardianship, disposal of the orphan’s property, transfer of waqf (inalienable) property or guarantee. It is almost obligatory if a person has sufficient grounds to claim certain rights, and may be desirable to varying degrees depending on the circumstances. In any case, drawing up contracts in writing is considered one of the most important factors in preserving the rights of both parties, since no one is protected from forgetfulness and mistakes, and since this is the only way to protect yourself from scammers who do not fear Allah. 5. The Almighty ordered the scribes to write down the duties of both parties fairly, without making concessions to one of the parties on the basis of kinship or for other reasons, and without infringing on the rights of the other party due to enmity or for any other reason. 6. Drawing up contracts in writing is one of the worthy deeds and is considered a benefit to both parties. It helps to preserve their rights and relieves them of additional responsibility, and therefore the scribe must perform his duties faithfully so that he can enjoy his remuneration. 7. The scribe must be a person who can perform his duties correctly and fairly and who is known for his fairness. If a person does not know how to correctly draw up contracts, then he will not be able to fulfill his duties; if he is not a fair person and does not deserve the trust and recognition of others, then the agreement he has drawn up will also not be recognized by people and will not help the parties preserve their rights. 8. The scribe’s fairness is complemented by his ability to correctly express thoughts and use the terminology adopted when drawing up various contracts. In this case, an important role is given to customs and generally accepted rules. 9. Drawing up contracts in writing is a mercy of Allah towards those slaves who, without this, cannot properly fulfill their religious and worldly duties. If Allah has taught a person the ability to competently draw up contracts, then he has been shown great mercy, and in order to properly thank Allah for it, he is obliged to help people, draw up contracts for them and not refuse them such a service. Therefore, the scribes are commanded not to refuse to draw up a contract as Allah taught them. 10. The scribe should record the confession of a person who has material obligations to another party if he can clearly state his obligations. If he is unable to do this due to minor age, dementia, insanity, dumbness or incapacity, then the contract must be dictated for him by the guardian, who, when concluding the contract, acts as a responsible person. 11. Confession is one of the important circumstances through which the rights of people are confirmed, because Allah Almighty ordered the scribes to record the confessions of the party that is financially responsible. 12. If a person is not capable of bearing full responsibility due to young age, dementia, insanity or other reasons, then a guardian must act on his behalf. 13. The guardian acts on behalf of his ward in all cases where his recognition regarding his rights and obligations is required. 14. If a person appoints another person as his lawyer or entrusts him with certain powers in settling relationships with people, then the words of his authorized representative are acceptable, since he speaks on behalf of the person who authorized him. And if guardians are allowed to act on behalf of those who are not able to bear full responsibility, then this is even more permitted for authorized representatives of people who, of their own free will, entrust them with certain powers. The words of such authorized representatives are taken into account and have legal force, and in case of disagreement, they are given preference over the words of the person who authorized them. 15. A person who bears financial responsibility is obliged to fear Allah when dictating a contract or agreement, not to infringe on the rights of the other party, not to reduce the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of his duties and not to distort the terms of the agreement. On the contrary, he must fully acknowledge his duties to the other party, just as the other party must fully acknowledge their duties to him. If the parties do not do this, then they find themselves among the swindlers and swindlers. 16. Muslims are obliged to acknowledge their duties, even if they go unnoticed by others, and such an act is one of the most glorious manifestations of piety. If a person does not communicate his duties, which remain unnoticed by the other party, then this indicates the lack and imperfection of his fear of God. 17. When concluding trade transactions, Muslims are required to invite witnesses. The provision regarding the presence of witnesses when concluding debenture agreements is similar to the provision regarding the preparation of such agreements in writing, which we have already discussed, since when they are compiled in writing, evidence is actually recorded. As for cash transactions, it is better to conclude them in the presence of witnesses, but you can refuse to draw up such agreements in writing, because cash transactions are widespread, and drawing up written contracts is burdensome. 18. Witnesses must be two fair men. If their presence is impossible or difficult, then one man and two women can become witnesses. This applies to all types of relationships between people, be it the conclusion of commercial transactions or debt agreements, the execution of related conditions or documents. (The question may arise here: why did the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) make a decision on the basis of one testimony confirmed by an oath, if the beautiful verse we are discussing requires the testimony of two men or one man and two women? The point is that this In a beautiful verse, the Creator called on His slaves to take care of the preservation of their rights and mentioned the most perfect and reliable form of this, but this verse in no way contradicts the decisions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), based on the testimony of one witness, confirmed by an oath. regarding the preservation of rights, both parties must take the most complete precautions before concluding a transaction. As for the issue of resolving litigation, in such proceedings the most convincing arguments and evidence are taken into account.) 19. The testimony of two women is equivalent to the testimony of one man only in worldly matters. As for religious matters, such as the transmission of hadith or the issuance of religious decrees, in them the testimony of a woman is equivalent to the testimony of a man, and the differences between the two situations are obvious. 20. The Almighty indicated the reason why the testimony of a man is equal to the testimony of two women. It lies in the fact that women often have weak memory, while men have good memory. 21. If one witness forgot about the incident, after which the second witness reminded him of what happened, then such forgetfulness does not detract from the importance of the witness if he recalled the events in memory after the reminder. This follows from the revelation that if one of the witnesses makes a mistake, the other must remind her. Moreover, one should accept the testimony of a person who forgot about the incident and then remembered it without a reminder, since the testimony must be based on awareness and conviction. 22. As we have just noted, evidence must be based on knowledge and conviction and cannot be based on doubt, and if a witness doubts his own words, then he is prohibited from giving evidence. Even if a person is inclined towards certain testimony, he must still testify only to what he knows for certain. 23. A witness does not have the right to refuse to testify if he is invited to appear as a witness, and speaking in this capacity is one of the worthy acts, since Allah ordered the faithful to do so and communicated the benefits of this. 24. It is prohibited to harm the scribe and witnesses by inviting them to perform their duties at an inconvenient time for them and under such circumstances that may harm them. Responsible parties must also not harm the scribe and witnesses, and the scribe and witnesses must not harm the responsible parties or either of them. It follows that if drawing up contracts and agreements in writing, participating as a witness or giving evidence could cause harm, then people may refuse to perform the duties of a scribe and a witness. 25. The Almighty emphasized that Muslims should not harm all those who do good, and should not burden them with unbearable responsibilities. The Almighty said: “Is good rewarded except with good?” (55:60) . As for those who do good, they must perform their duties in the most perfect manner, without reproaching people with the service they provide and without offending them either in word or deed, since otherwise their actions cannot be righteous. 26. The scribe and witnesses have no right to accept remuneration for their services, because Allah has obliged slaves to write down contracts and act as witnesses and because remuneration for such services is detrimental to the parties entering into contracts and agreements. 27. The Almighty drew the attention of the slaves to the enormous benefits that they could derive if they faithfully followed these glorious instructions. They will be able to preserve their rights, maintain justice, get rid of disputes and mutual claims, and insure themselves against forgetfulness and absent-mindedness. That is why Allah said that observing the revealed injunctions will be fairer before Him, more convincing for evidence and better for avoiding doubts. People really feel an urgent need for these things. 28. Studying the rules for drawing up contracts in writing relates to religious issues, since this skill allows you to maintain faith and worldly well-being and provide services to others. 29. If Allah has honored a person with a special skill that other people need, then in order to thank Him properly, a person must use his skill for the benefit of His slaves, satisfying their needs. This conclusion follows from the fact that immediately after the prohibition on avoiding drawing up contracts in writing, Allah reminded the scribes that it was He who taught them how to draw up contracts correctly. And although such a service is their duty, Allah will certainly satisfy their needs as long as they satisfy the needs of their brothers. 30. Causing harm to witnesses and scribes is impiety, which means evading obedience to Allah and disobedience. Wickedness can be manifested in greater or lesser degrees and in many different forms, and therefore He did not call believers who do not obey this command wicked, but said that they were committing sin. The more a person evades obedience to the Lord, the more pronounced his wickedness and fall from grace become. 31. Fearing God is a means of acquiring knowledge, because Allah has promised to train slaves who practice fear of God. Even more expressive is the following revelation on this matter: “O you who believe! If you fear Allah, He will give you the ability to distinguish between truth and falsehood, forgive you your sins and forgive you” (8:29). 31. The acquisition of useful knowledge includes not only the study of religious issues related to the rites of worship, but also the study of worldly sciences related to relationships between people, because Allah takes care of all the religious and worldly affairs of His slaves and because His great scripture has explained any questions..

The point is that this In a beautiful verse, the Creator called on His slaves to take care of the preservation of their rights and mentioned the most perfect and reliable form of this, but this verse in no way contradicts the decisions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), based on the testimony of one witness, confirmed by an oath. about the preservation of rights, then before concluding a transaction, both parties must take the most perfect precautions. As for the question of resolving litigation, in such proceedings the most convincing arguments and evidence are taken into account.) 19. The Almighty said: “Is good rewarded except with good?” (55:60). 31. The acquisition of useful knowledge includes not only the study of religious issues related to the rites of worship, but also the study of worldly sciences related to relationships between people, because Allah takes care of all the religious and worldly affairs of His slaves and because His great scripture has explained any questions.

Bismi Al-Lahi Ar-Raĥmāni Ar-Raĥīmi

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful!

The Messenger and the believers believed in what was sent down to him from the Lord. They all believed in Allah, His angels, His Scriptures and His messengers. They say: “We make no distinction between His messengers.” They say: “We listen and obey! We ask for your forgiveness, our Lord, and we are about to come to you.”

Allah does not impose on a person beyond his capabilities. He will receive what he has acquired, and what he has acquired will be against him. Our Lord! Don't punish us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord! Do not place on us the burden that You placed on our predecessors. Our Lord! Don't burden us with what we can't do. Be lenient with us! Forgive us and have mercy! You are our Patron. Help us to prevail over unbelieving people.

The importance of the last 2 verses of Surah Al-Baqarah

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Whoever read the last two verses from Surah Al-Baqarah at night. This will be enough" (Muslim).

“Whoever reads the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah at night will be protected that night from fire and other dangers.”

“Allah completed Surah Al-Baqarah with two verses and rewarded me from the treasury that is under His Highest Throne. You too will learn these verses, teach them to your wives and children. These verses can also be read as a dua.”

“Whoever reads Amana-r-rasula before going to bed will be as if he had performed a divine service until the morning.”

“Allah gave me Surah Al-Baqarah from the treasury under His Throne. This was not given to any prophet before me.”

Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “About a person who did not read the last three verses of Surah Al-Baqarah before going to bed, I cannot say that he is smart.” Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “An intelligent person will not go to bed without reading the last verses of Surah Al-Baqarah.”

Abd Allah ibn Masud said: “The Messenger of Allah to Miraj was granted three things: prayer five times a day, the last verse of Surah Al-Baqarah and intercession for those who died without ascribing partner to Allah.”

Interpretation of al-Saadi

An authentic hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) states that reading these two verses at night is enough to protect oneself from evil, and the reason for this is their glorious meaning.

In one of the previous verses of this surah, Allah called on people to believe in all the basic provisions of the Muslim religion: “Say: “We believe in Allah, and also in what was revealed to us and what was revealed to Ibrahim (Abraham), Ismail (Ishmael), Ishak (Isaac), Yaqub (Jacob) and the tribes (the twelve sons of Yaqub), what was given to Musa (Moses) and Isa (Jesus) and what was given to the prophets by their Lord. We make no distinction between them, and to Him alone we submit” (2:136). And in this revelation He said that the Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and the believers believed in these provisions of the religion, believed in all the messengers and in all the scriptures. They were not like those who accept one part of the Scripture and reject another, or accept some messengers but reject others. Indeed, this is what the misguided followers of distorted creeds do.

The mention of the believers along with the mention of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is a great honor for them. This indicates that the religious injunctions relating to the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) apply to his followers. He fulfilled these instructions in the most perfect manner and surpassed in this field all other faithful believers and even other messengers of God. Then Allah reported that the believers say: “We listen and obey! Lord, forgive us, because we have to return to You.” They undertake to adhere to everything that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) brought in the Quran and Sunnah. They listen to religious laws, accepting them with all their souls and submitting to them with their whole bodies, and their words are filled with humility before Allah and imply a request to help them in fulfilling religious duties and to forgive them the omissions made in fulfilling obligatory instructions and the sins they have committed. They humbly turn to Allah with a prayer that benefits them, and Allah Almighty has already answered it by saying through the mouth of His Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “I have already done it!”

Allah necessarily accepts these prayers from the faithful as a whole and accepts them from individual believers if there are no factors preventing the prayer from being accepted. Allah does not hold Muslims accountable for things they do by mistake or forgetfulness. He has made Muslim Sharia extremely easy and does not burden Muslims with the burdens and obligations that were so burdensome for previous religious communities. Allah did not order them to perform duties beyond their capabilities, forgave them their sins, had mercy on them and granted them victory over the unbelievers.

We ask Allah Almighty, through His beautiful names and qualities and through the mercy He showed us when He taught us to follow the injunctions of His religion, to bring these prayers to life for us, to fulfill the promise made by the mouth of the Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and put in order the affairs of all devout Muslims. From this revelation important rules emerge. According to the first of them, religious duties should be eased and Muslims should be freed from embarrassment in all matters of religion. Another rule teaches that a person deserves forgiveness if, while performing rites of worship, he violated his duties to Allah by mistake or forgetfulness. If, for these reasons, he violated his duties to the creatures, then he does not deserve humiliation and censure. However, he is responsible if his mistake or forgetfulness resulted in the death of people or property, because a person does not have the right to encroach on people’s lives or property, either intentionally, or by mistake, or by forgetfulness.
