How does this torrent release differ from its analogues:
- The long-known Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden and Kano will be joined by new characters: Cassie Cage, Kotal Kahn, Di"Vora, as well as Ferra and Torr.
- Before the battle, any Mortal Kombat X hero chooses his own fighting style, which will help determine the battle strategy, a different set of special techniques and capabilities.
- The plot of the main campaign will take place 25 years after the events in the previous series. The story devotes a lot of attention to new unknown heroes, including: Cassandra Cage (daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade), Jacqueline Briggs (daughter of Jackson "Jax" Briggs), Takahashi Takeda (son of the swordsman Kenshi) and Kun Jin, a man from close relatives of Kung Lao.
- By tradition, Mortal Kombat X will use the successful and beloved X-ray method, as well as probably the most basic thing in the game - fatality and brutality. With improved motion dynamics and new generation graphics, the most interesting battles look especially exciting!

The mechanics of the game have changed not as noticeably as the composition of the fighters, but noticeably. New features have been added to the full range of previous tricks.

The energy scale, as before, consists of three divisions. One makes it possible to strengthen a special move, giving it an additional attack, or to gain invulnerability at the start. Two divisions will allow you to destroy the enemy combination, and the combo-breaker technique can now be performed both while you are being damaged and while in a block under enemy pressure; it is not necessary to remove the block, missing blows, in order to throw the enemy back and try to seize the initiative. Well, a full energy scale is needed to perform the X-Ray technique.

The game has become more brutal, but all this cruelty looks somehow... caricatured.

A stamina bar has appeared under the health bar. Its supply is spent on running, deshi(short dashes forward or backward) and interaction with interactive objects in the arena. Dash and interacting with objects spend half the scale, and running gradually reduces the bar. Stamina is also useful for performing combo breakers, which not only consume the entire gauge at once, but also prevent it from being replenished for several seconds.

You will have to run often - both long and short distances. A regular dash is now completely useless, and should be used only in extreme cases, when the enemy cannot harm you in any way. The forward dash cannot be canceled by blocking or striking; you will have to wait until the animation completes. Running, although it is not performed in the most convenient way (forward, forward, block), is canceled at any time. While running, you can always block or start an attacking combination. The sooner you master this technique, the more control you will have over the situation.

Interaction with some objects is a kind of mini-X-Ray. Emphasis on entertainment!

With the back dash everything is much simpler. This is now the only basic move on the ground that won't hit you for a few frames. Attacks Wake Up(in the Russian version of “awakening attacks”) no longer have invulnerability frames at all, and it has become much easier to kill a rising enemy with some combination. He will have to expend energy and use enhanced special attacks to stand up and successfully wedge into the enemy's blows. The only “free” way to escape from a pressing opponent is a back dash and a roll (you need to press the hit button at the very moment when you have just touched the ground).

The throws became a continuous series of strikes.

The requirements for entering commands have become stricter. The window for chaining strikes in a series is noticeably shorter, and the enemy does not fly up from the throwing technique as high as before - it is difficult to complete the combination in time, and any extra pressure will ruin everything.

But the damage from the series of strikes themselves seemed to have seriously decreased. The most sophisticated combos rarely overcome the limit of 30% damage, with reinforcement - up to 40%. Therefore, the value of powerful strikes like the uppercut increases.

The training mode has all the necessary functions. Now they also allow you to choose a location.

Jumping in Mortal Kombat were never safe, but have become even more risky. The punch animation is very different depending on what kind of punch you use.

Choosing the right distance for a jump is not easy - we have already written about this in. In some places the hitboxes are faulty, sometimes the animation is “eaten up” at the moment before landing, the character does not always want to turn towards the enemy if he jumps over him, and the speed of jumping feels different for different characters. In a word, not without problems, but very interesting.

One, two, three, four, five - Kotal Kahn goes looking.

But the advertised fighting styles of the characters (three per nose) do not work quite as we would like. Of course, it takes more time to master them than usual, and the variability adds interest. But the styles themselves do not always work according to the principle of countermeasures. If you are having a hard time fighting one of your opponents, changing your style is unlikely to help. As a rule, styles change the properties of individual strokes or add a couple of new ones. But you won’t notice a sharp change in the character’s feeling. Most likely, over time, most players will choose one style for themselves and forget about the alternatives.

Many abilities from the last part were simply scattered across different styles, but a lot of new ones were added.

Entrails

The player has a whole bunch of test towers at his disposal. A classic tournament against ten opponents, towers with random power-ups and obstacles in the arena - which you can share with friends... There are also endless towers, where the number of opponents is limited only by your perseverance and skill level. It’s just a pity that two-on-two team fights have sunk into oblivion.

Almost a classic!

In all these modes, coins are accumulated that can be spent in crypto. Walking through the local crypt is reminiscent of a minimalist dungeon crawler, with enemies and your own legendary items.

By breaking tombstones, opening chests and rummaging through spider masonry, we get hidden suits, finishing moves and other nice things. In the crypt, you can look at character cards, study their history and creation process.

While traveling through the crypt, such encounters occur every now and then. If you have time to press the button, you will receive coins.

Online, in addition to standard rooms, rating battles and the “king of the hill” mode, there is now a faction war. You will have to choose a faction as soon as you start the game, and all the accumulated special points will now flow into the team’s global treasury. This doesn’t provide any special benefits, except that it opens up additional fatalities. All this is so that you feel like you belong to something much larger - as, for example, in the recent one.

Faction murder in all its simplicity.

Online: We must not forget about the quality of the connection. We tested online on PS4 in a private room. The signal traveled from Belarus to the Urals, and even at an insignificant, by modern standards, speed it was comfortable to play. In the lobby rooms the picture is worse. But what's truly disheartening is the one-on-one rating battle system. Every time after the end of a battle, the game for some reason throws you into the menu, re-establishes a connection with the server, and only after that looks for a new opponent. You have to spit at the ceiling for seven minutes, and play for one and a half minutes.

Soul

Here comes Johnny!

In my time Mortal Kombat became the main reason for the appearance of age ratings in video games. The game demonstrated characters that were naturalistic at that time and allowed you to deal with them in the most brutal way. Gradually, the series moved away from realism to the grotesque, and MKX also did not come out as shocking.

Welcome to the section dedicated to the game characters Mortal Kombat X.

Mortal Kombat X is an exciting and incredibly brutal fighting game in the Mortal Kombat universe. The game offers users a new storyline dedicated to some of the colorful characters in the series, such as Sub-Zero and Scorpion. The fighting game features both completely new fighters and old friends, only adjusted for age. You can download the Mortal Kombat X torrent from our website and immediately start participating in bloody one-on-one fights.

The plot of the game is really interesting and non-linear. The fallen god Shinnok begins to implement his insidious plan to capture the Outer World and the Earthly Realm. On his orders, an army of demonic creatures attacks the weakened Earth. Brave warriors stand up to protect the planet and its inhabitants: former actor Johnny Cage, Major Sonya Blade and the blind samurai Kenshi. They team up with Raiden and Fujin to try to take on the powerful Shinnok and his assistant, the necromancer Quan Chi.

Gameplay

Like previous installments in the series, Mortal Kombat X pits two players against each other in interactive arenas. The fighters use a variety of attacks, special attacks and unusually brutal fatalities. Characters can also interact with the environment: throw objects or bounce off walls and objects. Another significant innovation of the game was the appearance of three fighting styles for all fighters, each of which implies the presence of unique techniques and weapons.

Peculiarities

  • Branded, polished gameplay in the best traditions of the series;
  • A story-driven campaign about saving the Earth from the invasion of the army of a fallen god;
  • Lots of new moves, spectacular combos and brutal X-Ray attacks for every fighter;
  • Along with the old familiar characters, completely new ones appeared;
  • Brutal and merciless fatalities, which have become one of the most recognizable features of the series;
  • Cinematic graphics, excellent detail of fighters and stunning animation of fights.

Scorpio, Sub Zero, Kitana, Rain, Goro... For the first time in 10 years, memories came flooding back to how I played with friends in front of a pot-bellied TV, choosing different fighters and shouting “Wait, don’t hit me! I’ll try something!” Familiar characters, memorable techniques, beautiful rich graphics, modern mechanics of a classic fighting game, “tower” modes (oh, I can’t tell you how much effort, nerves and gamepads was wasted on Shao-Khan at one time!).
There was a fly in the ointment in the form of a monstrous similarity to Injustice, the storymode of which was completed a week before the release of the MKX (on the other hand, the same studio did it) and the transformation of the pre-ordered Kombat Pack into the Season Pass, as a result of which the Predator and others Guest characters have to wait a while.
To summarize: an excellent fighting game with the spirit of that very old school.

Outright bullshit. Few arenas, no finishing moves in the arenas, complete “brutalities” (brutalities in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 are much cooler), paid easy fatalities, “interactive” storyline (press no buttons, but it still doesn’t affect anything), voice acting of characters limping on all fours (on the same Sega or other classic consoles, I felt that the losing fighter was scared and in pain), the controls are crooked, the new characters are shit (the old ones were also changed not for the better). The classic fatalities from Scorpio and Sub Zero from the DLC were removed (as if these characters had never had other finishing moves in the entire history of the game). How cool were the brutalities in UMK3 (a combo of about twenty hits, half of which had to be done by the player, and the computer completed the other half itself), animalities, friendships (when the character tried to make friends with the enemy in a unique way), interactive arenas (with an uppercut you could throw the opponent into another arena ), VS Codes (on the VS screen there were six changing symbols that could be changed, and the right combination of these symbols would do all sorts of interesting and fun things.). John Tobias left, and with him went the ideas. Mortal Kombat is no longer a cake.

Yesterday I bought myself a game. What can I say... the game is juicy. I like all the characters. A wave of memories rolls in regularly and it makes me happy. The controls are a little clumsy, but this is a minor thing and not even worth paying attention to. They say it smells like Injustice... but I haven’t played it)) The last similar game is MK9 and only briefly. And I like everything here. Starting with drawing the background and ending with the plot and characteristics of the characters. I didn’t quite understand the fighters’ tactics. Perhaps you need to play very well to feel the difference in using one or another tactic. It’s very good that the towers have been returned again. SEGA is reluctantly remembered. Then I could hammer them for days. There are no complaints about the combat. Everything is simple and clear, I found my way quickly. I don’t even know what to complain about. I won't talk about the price. I thought about it and decided that it was stupid to take points off for the price, it had nothing to do with it at all. Perhaps the only negative for me: few finishing moves. I would like at least as many more. So I'll take away half a point.
