But we cannot ignore the fact that the developers tried to implement touch control as competently as possible, making it as convenient as possible. The virtual sticks are “floating”, plus in the settings there is an option to change the position of the buttons on the screen. The choice of weapon is carried out by an arrow at the top of the screen, next to it is a button to activate the first aid kit and a timer for the remainder of the Bullet time slowdown mode.
Complaints about the graphics appear only because the localization was carried out without a design update. And what was relevant 13 years ago seems primitive and outdated today. However, on tiny smartphone screens, texture imperfections will not be so noticeable. Among the positive aspects, it is worth noting the adjustment of brightness and display of visual effects. This allows a “heavy” application to run on weak devices, but does not exclude periodic lags during a firefight, which even helps save on the Bullet time mode, since the action itself slows down significantly.
Thank you must be said for translating the game into Russian: the dialogues and titles, graphic comics and voice-over lines of the character were Russified completely and efficiently by the creators. The audio picture is completed by a first-class soundtrack and realistic sound effects. That is why the step of the developers, who decided to remind the owners of tablets and smartphones of the original story of a somewhat peculiar policeman who got into serious trouble, looks quite logical. The authors were able to accurately convey the feelings of hopelessness and tension that grip the main character. He no longer loses anything and does not rely on anyone, and therefore he only moves forward.
