Pet guide. Pet Battles - guide review

A short guide to battle pets. Description of passive bonuses, pros and cons of each type of pet. This small guide to combat pets will reveal some of the nuances of the combat system.

Education

Once you reach level five, you will have the opportunity to take on the quest Learning the Basics, after completing which, battle pets will be available to you. You can pick up the quest in any capital from a pet trainer.

Battle Pet Trainers:

  • Audrey Burnhep - Stormwind.
  • Varzok - Orgrimmar.
  • Narzak - Razor Hill (Durotar).
  • Marcus Jensen - Goldshire (Elwynn Forest).
  • Nalin - Bloody Hoof Village (Mulgore).
  • Valina - Dolanaar (Teldrassil).
  • Will Larsons - Lor "danel (Dark Shores).

From the battle pet trainer you will learn not only the ability to use pets, but also receive one racial pet. All pets you tame will be available to all characters in the same area. account. But no more than 500 pets per account.

Catching a pet is quite simple. To do this, one of your pets must reach level 3, for a total of 25 levels. Enable tracking of battle pets on the minimap. As soon as you locate the green paw icon, congratulations, you have found your first battle pet. All that remains is to right-click on it and start the battle. Now the interesting part, you will start the fight. You need to lower the enemy pet’s health below 35%, then the “Trap” ability will become active.

A pet's strength depends not only on its typical advantages, but also on its basic characteristics. Quality is one of the basic characteristics. In addition to quality, there is health, strength and speed. But it is quality that determines how high the basic characteristics will be. It turns out that the higher the quality, the higher his strength, health and speed will be. It may seem that searching for a “quality” pet can be quite a tedious task. This is why I advise you to use the Pet Battle Quality Glow addon, which will determine the quality of the pet for you.

As you and your pet gain levels. You will meet entire teams of battle pets. In a battle with such a team, you will find out about the presence of two other pets at the very last moment. That’s why it’s so nice to start a battle with one, and end up fighting with a team of two or even three pets. But who said that life in Azeroth is easy and beautiful?

Advice: before you rush into battle with a wild pet. I advise you to find out what type of creature it is. Select a team of types with typical advantages and the right passive bonuses. You will have to select abilities to your taste, since hundreds of combinations of abilities, passive bonuses and standard advantages are possible. Therefore, it is difficult to choose one universal strategy.

Tips and Tricks

  • A pet that has a high movement speed will start each round first. You can find out who will start the battle first by the golden window around the pet’s portrait.
  • All battles are turn-based and there is no time limit, but many players do not know this, so it is worth using a psychological attack in a personal chat. Let him make his move faster, time is running out!!!))
  • Some pets have their own buffs and debuffs that will continue even if you switch between pets.
  • You can change your pet during a fight, but changing your pet makes you vulnerable. Don't abuse this.
  • Living creatures are partially healed after the battle in which they took part.

Experienced pet trainers

As your experience in battle increases, you will have an increasingly better chance of defeating the Great Pet Tamers. But first, you should try your hand at “Experienced Pet Tamers”

Immediately after learning the skill of catching pets from your mentor, you will have access to a chain of quests in which you need to fight several battles with several experienced tamers in different locations. Only after this can you “push” the great tamer. From now on the task will be daily. Naturally, the main reward in such battles are blue, rare pets. It’s for this reason that it’s probably worth trying your hand at wonderful pet battles.

There can be no more than 500 pets per account, and there can be no more than three of the same pets (no matter what quality they are). The maximum pet level is 25, so go for it :)

Getting to know the interface.

A very large picture, oh-oh-oh... It's okay, click to enlarge, or read about this interface in the game by clicking on the round button with the letter "i" in it. Everything is simple, and even purely intuitively you can figure out where to “poke”.

In short, before your eyes in the left column of the called up pet window (oh, so many words for one window) there is a list of existing pets, and pets that you can collect/buy/catch/receive for the quest. You can customize and sort this list, more on that later. Although... Why later? Let's look at this opportunity right now! :D

Firstly, you can simply write the pet's name in the search bar - the system (this is not a system, it's a bunch of little gnomes that the GMs keep locked up and force to quickly, quickly give you results) will give you all possible options.
Secondly, you can customize filters. Place a checkmark next to the desired criterion - and you will see pets that meet these criteria.
Received- pets that you have trained (caught). The resulting pets can be added to Favorites(I, for example, add all the rarniks to my favorites).
Not received- as you already understood, pets that you don’t have yet.
Pet families- only 10 families, more about them below.
Sources for getting pets- also ten ticks, how you received or will receive this or that pet.
For your convenience there are functions "Select all" And "Remove selection". That is, for example, you want to find a pet dragon for the achievement Take Em" All On!), select the "Unobtained" checkbox, then in Pet Families unselect all types and put a checkmark only in front of Dragons, in Sources - pet battles, and then from the list you select a Pokemon that is suitable for the level. It’s simple.

When you select the pet you are interested in, it appears in the upper right corner of our window, and not just appears, but with brief description, characteristics and list of abilities. Here they will tell you where you got it, your pet, or you can get that pet that you don’t have yet for some reason.

By right-clicking on your pet's name, you can summon it, rename it, release it, and put it in a cage for further sale (donation, throwing it away, etc.). Please note that if the selected pet is in a battle pet slot, you will not be able to cage it. Also, you cannot transfer a single (!) creature you catch in a pet battle. It's a shame? Not at all. Apparently, this restriction was created to prevent rare pets from being rushed to the auction =/ There are always plenty of farmers.

But let's return to our pets. On eu.battle.net they tell us in detail what, where, why and how. I will duplicate this information in order to avoid frequent transitions from our blog :) After all, the elemental is against... So, all attention to the picture:

1. Nickname. Firstly, when each pet has its own name, it cannot be confused with anyone else and it is more convenient to keep track of it. And secondly, some kind of individuality. Of course, most of you have your own favorite, your Pikachu, right? And you probably wouldn't want him to just be a Rattlesnake or a Festival Lantern... I already have Joe the Crayfish, Snail the Dragon, Mon the Lizard, Marvy the Elemental. What are the names of your pets?

2. Level . As your pet fights with others and wins, its level increases. Complete tasks given to you by trainers, fly around locations, fight with pets, catch them, this gives you not only achievement points, but also invaluable experience, which will eventually turn into a great level-up.

3. Indicators. Each pet has 4 indicators: health, strength, speed And quality. The first three indicators increase with the transition to a new level. The quality determines the value of the indicators and will vary for each captured satellite.Health- how long will your pet last in battle, the higher the amount of its HP, the longer you survive. Force- how hard can your pet hit the enemy? Speed- if your pet has this indicator higher than that of the enemy, then your pet goes first. Quality- like the knocked-out gear, the quality of the caught pets can be Low (gray), Normal (white), Unusual (green) and Rare (blue). The higher the quality of your captured pet, the higher its other three indicators, which is a definite plus in battle. Here you simply need the Pet Battle Quality Glow addon, which outlines the frame of the pet you are fighting with in the color of its quality. Catching Pokemon just got easier.

4. Capabilities. When reaching certain levels, pets learn new abilities. For each pet there are several options to choose from. Please note - initially the pet has one ability, then when the pet reaches levels (2, 4, 10, 15 and 20 for each subsequent ability) the next one opens for you. To change at levels 10, 15 or 20 from one of the top line of abilities to one of the bottom according to how they are located, click on the yellow arrow and choose. This process can be better seen in the very first picture of the message under the cut.

5. Type. All pets are divided into several large categories - “types”: small animal, dragon, mechanism, magical creature, etc. Each ability corresponds to a specific category. For example, “Deep Breath” is an ability for a dragon, “Take Off” is for flying pets, etc. It depends on the type in what the pet is stronger and in what is weaker than others. In addition, each type of pet has its own passive bonus. Each pet has an “antipode” that is difficult for it to fight against. For example, flying pets deal increased damage to my Joe. But Joe himself deals increased damage to the animals. You will learn about this by hovering your mouse over the pet's ability.

Preparing for battle.

Now that you've figured out the interface, it's time to start preparing for battle! But how will we look for pets? After all, you can’t fight with everyone?! It's simple, you just need to enable the display of pets ready to join the battle on the map. To do this, click on the magnifying glass next to the mini-map and check the box next to the “Track Pets” function.

After you have done this, green paws will appear on the map. When you fly up to the indicated location, you observe a battle pet there, ready to fight.

They look something like this. To engage pets in battle, you need to right-click on the greenpaw.

Your first fight may not be successful. Prepare for the fact that your pets may be seriously injured or may even die... You can return them to duty once every ten minutes using the Resurrection spell, which looks like this in your spell book:

Or you can approach any stable keeper, of which there are a great many, and ask to resurrect or heal your pets.

True, it costs money. Small at level 90, but at level five - I'm sure - it can be a big hit to your pocket. Especially if it often hits you, and you are not the inflicter of global distraction.

Pet fight.

So, are you ready to join the fight? Heh. Note that you can only catch pets if you have no more than two of them, and if the pet you want to catch has health below 35%. The trap may not trigger immediately, but each time the trap misses, the chance of catching a pet increases by 20%. You can only catch one pet per battle.

Entire teams of pets can enter the battle, and as the levels of the locations in which you catch the pets increase, teams can be of two or three Pokemon. More than three can not be.

Please note that in the picture above, Joe's portrait is surrounded by a golden frame - this means that he goes first, because his speed is higher than that of the Gazelle.

Another wonderful thing is the weather. The weather in battle often helps you, but your opponent can also take over the situation. So far I have only encountered two types of weather - Scorched Earth and Moonlight, but I am sure that there are many more. Let's wait and see :) What advantages can the weather give? Increased spell damage, increased HP from healing, additional damage, etc.

When you enter a battle, an additional tab appears in your chat window - Pet Battle. Everything is described there by round - damage, healing, protection, application of effects, etc. Yes, yes, many pets can heal not only themselves, but also other members of your team. Also note that some pet abilities can last several rounds, can take effect after several rounds, can inflict an effect on the enemy (damage or slow), can turn your pet (for example, a frog kisses my crayfish, a crayfish turns into a frog - _-), and most importantly, there are abilities that will not allow the enemy to change their pet.

Just a piece of advice - if you first want to level up without entering PvP pet battles, choose Pokemon that can easily kill critters - animals and flying creatures. And you will be happy in PvE pet battles. If you crave blood and tears, look for a pet that you like, because everyone has many advantages.

For achievement hunters - open the “Collections” tab and start flying around the zones required for the achievement. The captured pet will only be given to you if you have defeated the entire team, so achievement progress will also be counted in the “Battle” tab.

Sooner or later you will upgrade your pet (and more than one!) to the maximum, level 25, and you will become a Grand Master of Pokemon. Good luck with this :)

Bonus.

Here's a little bonus. What do we do with the release of a new addon? That's right, we love squirrels. It is not clear how Skunk found its way into the list of Pandaria squirrels, but it turned out that a recently caught skunk can be summoned and loved so that the achievement is counted. This is for those who don't want to leave a new continent to get the achievement...

Thank you for your attention, as usual, your Nyasha, Water Elemental and a bunch of snails. Special thanks to Joe for posing and positioning.

Introduction:

In this Battle Pets guide, I tried to collect information regarding the new “Battle Pet System” in WOW. This system will also act as a secondary profession and will be available to all players. If before release you have several pets of the same type on different characters within the same account, they will be combined into one pet. In total, you can have up to 500 pets, 3 varieties of each pet. Winning a pet battle can earn the player some experience (similar to a gathering profession). In order to start training your pet, you need to visit the Battle Pet Trainer, he is in any capital.

Pets:

Battle Pets, like objects, can be of different quality (simple, rare, etc.). The quality of the pet is determined randomly when the pet appears on the map. The higher the quality of the pet, the greater the increase in characteristics it will receive when leveling up.

Pets have four characteristics: health, attack, defense and speed. It is the speed that determines the order of moves of the pets. The higher the speed, the higher the probability of starting the move first. Pets' abilities will unlock as they gain levels, and you can also learn unique abilities from a trainer. Most pets can be sold at auction; a special section has been created for this. To sell a pet, you must put it in a cage. When selling, the pet's level is maintained.

Pet fights:

  • You can track your pets using the mini-map. They will appear on the mini-map as a small green paw print:

  • The same symbol will be displayed above the pet if you see it on the ground. Only a pet marked with this icon can be challenged and trained to fight:
  • In order to challenge a pet to battle, you need to right-click on it. If, after challenging your pet to a battle, you see an error about the impossibility of conducting a battle in a given area, simply move to a more open space and try again. As soon as you have successfully entered into battle with a pet, your screen will change to the pet battle screen, which will display all the necessary information about the battle: the health of your pet and the enemy pet, the pet’s abilities, etc.
  • Your team can consist of a maximum of three pets.
  • In total, 6 abilities are available for the entire team of pets in one battle. One pet can use up to three abilities per battle.
  • The turn time in battle is not limited.
  • During the battle you can change your pet, but it will cost you one turn.
  • To catch a pet, the enemy pet must have no more than 35% health. If this condition is met, use the “Trap” ability. Each subsequent use of the “Trap” increases the chance of successful capture. You can catch up to three pets of the same type.
  • You can challenge another player’s pets to battle in two ways: 1. Right-click on the player and select the appropriate menu item; 2. Press “Shift+P”, select the “Pet Atlas” tab and click on the “Battle Search” button. The system will automatically select the most equal opponent for you. Players can disable the ability to challenge them to a Pet Fight.
  • For each battle, your pets will receive experience, and not only surviving pets receive experience, but also those who took an active part in the battle. As your pets' levels increase, you will find yourself in more difficult battles.

Pet families:

Each pet belongs to one of 10 families (translation of the names of the families is preliminary). Each family has a passive bonus, as well as an increase/decrease in damage for one of the other families:

  • Aquatic: increased damage to Elementals, reduced damage to Magic pets.
  • Beasts: increased damage to Creatures, reduced damage to Birds.
  • Creatures: increased damage against Undead, reduced against Humanoids.
  • Dragons: increased damage to Magic pets, reduced by Undead .
  • Elementals: increased damage to Mechanical pets, reduced by Creatures .
  • Birds: increased damage to Aquatic pets, decreased to Dragons.
  • Humanoids: increased damage against Dragons, reduced against Beasts.
  • Magic: increased damage to Birds, reduced damage to Mechanical pets.
  • Mechanical: increased damage to Beasts, decreased to Elementals.
  • Undead: increased damage to Humanoids, reduced to Aquatic pets.

Passive abilities of each family:

  • Aquatic: The duration of negative effects that occur over time is reduced.
  • Beasts: Deal 25% more damage when their health drops below 50%.
  • Creatures: Freed from control effects faster.
  • Dragons: Deals 50% more damage to targets below 25% health.
  • Elementals: Ignores all weather effects.
  • Birds: Move 50% faster when their health is above 50%.
  • Humanoids: Recover 2% of their maximum health during each attack.
  • Magical: Magical pets cannot be dealt damage equal to more than 50% of the pet's health in one attack.
  • Mechanical: Returns to life with 25% health once per battle.
  • Undead: Upon death, they are resurrected for one round.

Which can be tamed at high levels.

These pets are fairly easy to max out once you tame them, so while they are important and useful, they are not ideal candidates for using the stone. Also, the author of the article tried not to include expensive pets in the list. Auction prices vary from server to server, but as a rule, there are pets, such as the Animus spawn, that are too expensive for anyone to shell out for, despite the fact that they are quite worthwhile pets.

Well, without further delay, let's begin our chart. From the end:

4 - Anubisath figurine

The Anubisath figurine has been quite popular since its release in the game. She has obvious evasion in the form of Deflection, a per-hit shield from Stoneskin, and Sandstorm, which provides a group shield that usually makes it easier to keep a low-level pet in a 2v2 fight for more experience.

Although this pet helped win almost any pet fight in Pandaria, it is not nearly as useful in Draenor. Also, most of Anubisat's tricks are owned by the flayer cub, which can be tamed at level 19.

3 and 2 - Pandaren Water Spirit and Chrominius

I kind of hate these two pets and try not to mention them because they exist perfectly on their own and make this article pointless. Each of them is incredibly strong.

The water spirit has in its arsenal healing, evasion, and a mix of painful skills from different types pets The same applies to Chrominius: healing and strong attack. They are listed together because by choosing the Water Spirit you can use “Geyser” and “Whirlpool”, and then switch to Chrominius and use

Introduction

Greetings, young tamer. Today I will tell you about how to start training your pets, what types of pets there are, how to assemble great teams, and so on.

Why do all this?

  1. It's exciting. If you have closed all the content and have nothing to do in the game, you can try to catch some rare pets or complete dungeon challenges.
  2. For collecting lovers. There's not even anything to explain here. There are a lot of different pets in the world of military craft. Try to collect them all!
  3. For fans of achievements. Do you like to complete achievements? In the "tab" Pet Battles"There are a lot of them. In addition, you will receive unique titles: , and /
  4. For greedy gold farmers. Do you like golda? With pet battles you can earn a lot. For example ~ 50k gold, ~ 35k gold and that’s not all. And for level 25 pets these prices can be 2-3 times higher.

Have I got your attention? Then let's begin our training...

Chapter 1. Mentors.

To assemble a team, you first need to visit a mentor who will help you at the very beginning of a difficult journey.
For the Alliance, this is a cute girl named
A great guy for the Horde.
When you contact your mentors, you will receive a quest, or one that will open a chain of tasks for you to become a pet tamer.
When talking with mentors you will learn a spell , which allows you to create a team of battle pets (currently it consists of only 1 pet), train them and track down wild battle pets.

The mentors will also sell you your racial pet:

As Illidan would say "Now you are ready!". Let's start training our first pet...

Chapter 2. Pet fight.

For defeating the tamer you will be given which may include:

  1. - the ability to heal and resurrect all your battle pets (alternative)..
  2. - reduces the size of your pet until you recall it..
  3. - increases the size of your pet until you recall it..
  4. - Your pet will receive a 5 minute buff" Snack "Happy Pet""who doesn't do anything...
  5. - another useless buff" Care"..
  6. Leash toys (one or more), and..
  7. Flawless stone (one or more) , , .
  8. Various gray trash.

More information about pets.

There are 10 pet families. Family table:

Each family has its own passive ability:

  • Aquatic: The duration of negative effects that occur over time is reduced.
  • Beasts: Deal 25% more damage when their health drops below 50%.
  • Creatures: Release control effects faster.
  • Dragons: Deals 50% more damage to targets below 25% health.
  • Elementals: Ignores all weather effects.
  • Birds: Move 50% faster when their health is above 50%.
  • Humanoids: Recover 2% of their maximum health with each attack.
  • Magical: Magical pets cannot be dealt damage equal to more than 50% of the pet's health in one attack.
  • Mechanical: Returns to life with 25% health once per battle.
  • Undead: Upon death, they are resurrected for one round.

All pets have 3 characteristics:

  • Attack power - the greater, the stronger any pet attacks. The importance is undeniable.
  • Speed – the pet attacks first with greater speed (except for rare and weak attacks, which, however, always come first). Sometimes speed gives nothing at all, and sometimes it ensures victory - a situational parameter.
  • Health points - the thicker you are, the harder it is to kill you.

Each type of pet has each parameter hard-coded at each level. But there are 2 random increases. The pet can be “strong” + to attack (P), “fast” + to speed (S), “tenacious” + to health (H) or “balanced” + divided into all 3 parameters (B). The increases can be the same (for example PP) or different.

All pets, like items, have a rarity: gray “low,” white “common,” green “uncommon,” or blue “rare.” The better the rarity, the higher all the parameters of the pet. You can increase the rarity to blue with special stones, which are earned by defeating tamers or wild pets (rare). Stones suitable for any type can be sold or bought at auction.
Pets caught in battle receive a random rarity when entering battle. The chance of fighting a blue one depends on the specific pet, but on average it is 5%. All others are by default green or blue, depending on rarity. For example, "Brown Prairie Dog" is always green, and "Dark Phoenix Hatchling" is blue. Anyone can be upgraded with stones.

Each pet has 6 abilities, but you can only use three. They are grouped as follows: 1st group, 2nd group, 3rd group.

Each ability is unlocked at a certain level. The number on a closed ability shows at what level it will open. The first ability is available at the first level.
In setups (teams) the pet is described as: Spider 1/2/1 - this means that we take a spider pet with abilities of level 1, level 15 and level 4.

The easiest way to get new pets is by catching wild pets in the open world, but they can also be obtained from raids, for quests, bought at an auction or from a vendor, etc.
To find out how this or that pet is obtained, go to the atlas, select the pet that suits you and find it on wowhead!

Chapter 3. Training.

To increase your pet's level you can:

  1. With the help of stone -
  2. In fights with tamers (if you can gain a lot of levels this week)
It is especially worth noting such a tamer as. To fight with her you will need 2 pets of level 25 and 1 pet - the “car” which we want to upgrade. Use or to get even more experience!
Attack the enemy team with level 25 pets until a plush elekk enters the battle and does not attack. Your pet “carriage” just needs to join the fight. You can immediately change it to your other pet.
If you win, your "car" will receive a lot of experience. But alas, this can only be done once a day.
  3. "Wagons" for the tamers of Kalimdor\Eastern Kingdoms. You can take 1-2 Wagons pets and 1 strong level 25 pet. Fly over all the tamers and defeat them. This way you can also quickly upgrade your pets.
  4. Ask other players to upgrade your pets for gold.

Chapter 4. Dream Team.

Have you collected a lot of pets? Want to become the best tamer in Azeroth/Draenor? Or maybe the best tamer in the entire universe? Then gather yourself a super team!

First of all, the team must be balanced in roles:
Main DD (the pet you are betting on) + backup DD (most effective against opponents that are dangerous for the first) + support pet.
The team must have pets with the following abilities:

  1. Strong single attack.
  2. Weak multiple attacks.
  3. Protection from strong attacks.
  4. Weakening every attack.
It makes sense to replace the last two by weakening enemy attacks by % + reducing synergy. But only if you plan to change pets often.

Secondly, the team must be balanced by species. For each type there are 2 others dangerous species(dealing more damage or receiving less) and 2 non-dangerous (less damage and worse protection, respectively). For everyone except elementals and mechanisms.
There should be no species against which you cannot do anything - your pets should be ready to meet everyone on at least an equal footing.

A good combination is a humanoid + elemental + mechanism. The first from dragons, the second from mechanisms, the third from everything else.

Conclusion.

  • PetTracker will help you find pets that you have not yet collected by marking them on the map, and will also show the characteristics of the pets you have selected.
  • PetJournal Enhanced- addon for managing your pet collection. To do this, you have convenient tools: sorting pets by level, type, importance, specialization. The addon shows the specialization of pets, their stats, role in the group (tank, speed or attacker).
  • PetJournal QuickFilter- quick filters for your Pet Atlas.
  • Rematch will help you create teams of battle pets. It saves sets of battle pets, and calls certain commands on different targets. Its main task is to call only the team that was more effective on a similar previous target. For example, you see how successful your command is on a target, you open the Rematch window and click Save, your pet team will be saved and then you just have to call the command on this target again. Open the window and click Load, your team is ready again, without unnecessary clicks and fuss.
  • Battle Pet Daily Tamer- puts the familiar paw on the world map to show you where you have not yet finished the daily pet battles. Initially, the addon only shows missed battles and rewards. But you can configure the addon so that it shows more types of combat pets and animal tamers.

That's all I have. But what I told you is only a small part of what you need to know to become the best reproach. To fight, your pet needs to have nerves of steel and patience. I believe that you will succeed. Wish you luck!

p.s. I will be glad if you write in the comments what should be added to the guide. Let's make it the best together complete guide for beginners who have decided to start this long and exciting journey.
