Five obligatory prayers: how to read namaz. Namaz for a man according to the Hanafi madhhab: text and video

Can we expect the correct performance of prayer from men who have recently converted to Islam, if even natives of Muslim countries and regions do not always know how to pray? The question is, as they say, rhetorical. This article provides video and text with transcription for those who want to learn how to read prayer.

Many are looking for an opportunity not to perform namaz, looking for a variety of, sometimes very exotic, excuses for this. For example, people say that they do not have time for prayer, that they work a lot, and simply do not know how to read prayer. You can often hear: “Nothing, I’ll catch up later!” or something similar.

But main reason A Muslim's refusal to perform namaz is fear. A person is simply afraid that, given the heavy workload of life, he will not be able to fulfill the obligations that he will undertake before Allah. The believer is worried that, having missed one prayer, there is no point in doing the rest - in his opinion, they will no longer have a positive impact. In addition, many do not know what exactly should be read in prayer and how to do it.

As a result, people postpone performing namaz until the future, when there is more time, the financial condition of the family will improve, they will be able to learn suras, etc.

This is initially the wrong path and the wrong attitude in life. While a believer waits for a “favorable time,” he may fall ill and die without ever performing prayer. Thus, a person deprives himself of the opportunity to enter heaven and be close to the Lord. All excuses and attempts to justify themselves are from the evil one.

Contrary to popular belief, prayer does not take much time, but it has such a deep and powerful effect on a person that he begins to manage the years allotted to him much more effectively. Namaz cleanses the mind, puts thoughts in order, and calms the heart. Prayer to Allah is an impregnable wall between the believer and the shaitan. The devil will not be able to instill evil and hatred into the heart of a person performing namaz. The person praying approaches the Lord and talks to him. Let us remember the suras that say that prayer helps a person to get away from the path of vile and sinful things, to take the road leading to correction and paradise.

Another sura says that only prayer and remembrance of the Almighty can give a person peace and consolation.

A Muslim must certainly perform namaz - this is his most important responsibility. It is by prayer that Allah judges a person and his earthly path. The Koran says that on the Day of Resurrection, the Lord will settle accounts with His servant based on the quantity and quality of prayers. If a person prayed earnestly, then this will serve a good purpose in assessing his earthly path. If Allah does not accept a person’s prayer, then all other deeds of a person will not be rewarded.

Really, taking into account all this, you will not be able to find in your life chart some time to pray?

Correct reading of prayer: techniques

Beginning Muslims are in some panic: it seems to them that learning to read namaz is incredibly difficult. There is some truth in this, but do not be alarmed.

One of the most common methods is regular visit mosques, watching people perform prayers, memorizing the actions, trying to repeat them. This method is quite effective, especially for those who begin to perform prayer regularly.

Note! Believers in mosques often do not articulate verses very loudly, so it is imperative to use the Koran and clarify unclear lines.

Visiting a mosque for prayer takes time, and not everyone can visit the temple regularly. How to be in this case?

A great way is video. On the Internet you can find many videos with the correct performance of prayer. As a rule, on these recordings all actions and phrases are clearly visible and audible. This technique will also be useful for those who have already become familiar with the procedure for performing prayer, but are not yet sure of the correctness of their actions. The video will tell you in detail how to pray.

According to the famous saying, it is better to see once than to hear many times. In the videos, the prayer is visible in every detail; the authors explain and comment on every pose taken and action performed.

The video is a great help for beginners; it will help to correctly pronounce phrases in Arabic, because the Russian alphabet does not fully convey phonetic features Arabic. Learning prayer from a video is also good because the user can stop playing the video at any time, rewind the recording, and study an incomprehensible moment in more detail.

Prayer for a Beginner

Correct reading of prayer

The main point at the first stage is to memorize the times of prayer, the rules for performing Wudu and Ghusl. Also, a beginner needs to memorize at least three small suras from the Koran, learn the words and duas read in prayer, remember Surah Fatiha and the order of performing all actions during prayer.

Believe me, it just sounds scary; in fact, memorizing it won’t require any extra effort. In addition, the believer must remember that at the first stage the Almighty can forgive the beginner’s mistakes and accept his prayer. Namaz must be performed with hope in the heart, with a sincere desire for the appeal to reach Allah.

Schemes for performing prayers

Namaz can consist of a different number of rak'ahs. Rak'ah is usually called the order of reading surahs and performing prayer actions in prayer. We will talk about two, three and four rak'at prayers.

Most often, one rakah includes bow from the waist(hand) and two prostrations (soot). To make it easier for beginning Muslims to learn the texts, we have provided all the words of the prayer in Russian transcription.

Two-rak fard prayer

Two-rak prayers include farj prayer (fard), fajr prayer (sunnah), esh and maghrib prayers, zuhr prayer (nafl), etc. The reading of all these prayers is carried out according to the same rules.

To perform the two-rak prayer, a man must go through the procedures of wudhu and ghusl, achieving ritual purity. If ritual purity is achieved in advance, the procedures can be neglected.

Niyat (intention)

1) We stand facing the Kaaba. We read, used only for fard prayer:

  1. Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar.
  2. Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar.
  3. Ashhadu alla ilaha illallah (2 times).
  4. Ashhadu anna Muhammadar rasulullah (2 times)
  5. Hayya ‘ala ssalah (2 times).
  6. Hayya ‘alaal fallah (2 times).
  7. Qad kamatissalah (2 times).
  8. Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar.
  9. La ilaha illyaallah.

The above suras are translated into Russian as follows:

  1. Allah is above all.
  2. I testify that there is nothing and no one comparable to the One and Only God.
  3. I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
  4. Hurry to prayer.
  5. Hurry to salvation.
  6. The prayer begins.
  7. Allah is above all.
  8. There is no god but Allah.

After reading the Iqamat, the person performing namaz needs to indicate his prayer intentions, and he needs to do this sincerely, as they say, with his heart. The intention is indicated by a phrase with approximate semantic content: “For the sake of Allah, I intend to perform the morning fard prayer of 2 rakats.” There is no need to articulate the intention out loud: pronounced silently it can be even more sincere.

First takbir

2) Raise your hands to ear level, turn your palms towards the Kaaba. The thumbs of each hand should touch the bottom ears or parallel earlobes. We point the other fingers straight up and keep them straight. When performing namaz, it is forbidden to turn your hands towards your ears, cover your ears, or hold your hands too low. If you do not follow all the rules described above, the prayer will contradict the Koran.

Raising our hands to the sky, we recite the first takbir:

"Allahu Akbar."

When articulating the first takbir, the body should be kept straight, the head should be tilted slightly and look at the point on the floor where the prostration (sajdah) will be made. It is not advisable to bend your neck too much and, especially, lower your chin to your chest. This situation will be considered makruh. When reading takbir, the legs should be in a parallel position with a distance of 4 fingers.

Qiyam (standing)

3) Having completed the recitation of Takbir, the worshiper needs to take the Qiyam pose. The right hand is placed on the left, hand right hand you need to grab it with the little finger of your left hand, and place the thumb of your right hand on the outside of your left hand. Having assumed this position, we lower our hands slightly below the navel. The eyes should be directed to the part of the prayer mat with which the forehead will come into contact when performing soot.

Having assumed the position described above and without taking our eyes off the place for soot, we begin to read the dua “Sana” (Subhanaka).

First we read the dua of Sana:

  1. Subhanaka Allahumma wa Bihamdika
  2. Wa tabaraka-smuka wa ta’ala jadduqa wa la ilaha gairuk.”

These suras are translated as follows: “Allah! You are above all shortcomings, all praise is to You, the presence of Your Name is endless in everything, Your Greatness is high, and besides You we worship no one.”

After Dua Sanaa, a novice man will have to read:

“Auuzu bil-lyahi min-shaitaani r-rajim.”

Translation: “I seek refuge in Allah from the stoned Shaitan.”

“Bis-mi Llyayahi-Rrahmani-Rrahim.”

Qiraat (reading)

  • Alhamdulillahi Rabbi al-'alamiin!
  • Ar-Rahmani-r-Rahim!
  • Maliki Yaumiddin.
  • Iyyaka na'budu wa iyyaka nasta'in.
  • Ikhdi-na-s-Syrat-al-mustaqim.
  • Syrat-al-lyazina an ‘amta ‘alaihim, gairi-l-magdubi ‘alaihim wa lyaddaaa-lliiin.”
  • Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds!
  • To the Gracious, the Merciful, the King on the Day of Judgment.
  • We worship You and ask You to help!
  • Lead us along the straight road,
  • Along the way of those whom You have blessed,
  • Not those who are under wrath, nor those who are lost.

6) Without changing body position, we read any word known to us. For beginners, Surah Al-Kawsar is an excellent option.

  • Inna a'taina kal-kausar.
  • Fasalli li Rabbika vanhar.
  • Inna shaniaka huwa-l-abtar.”
  • We have given you al-Kawthar (the tabernacles of paradise and all the blessings).
  • Therefore perform prayer for the sake of your Lord and slaughter the sacrifice.
  • Truly, the one who hates you will himself be unknown.

In principle, beginning men can skip the sixth point and immediately go from reading Surah Fatiha to Ruq. Such relaxation is permissible during the first 2-3 prayers, then it is necessary to memorize other sacred texts.

7) The time comes to perform Ruku. The worshiper must bow, leaving his back in a straight position, parallel to the surface of the floor.

When bowing, you need to say: “Allahu Akbar.” We spread our fingers to the sides and lower them to our knees. The back and legs should be in a straight position. Human body it should form a right angle with your legs and back. The gaze of the person performing namaz is directed to the feet.

"Subhaana Rabiyal Azyym"

Which means: “Glory to my Great Lord.”

There are certain peculiarities with the pronunciation of this phrase. It must be said several times, but the number must be odd. The minimum number of recitations is 3. You can also recite the sura 5 or 7 times.

Let us remember the words of Ibnu Masud, who broadcast to the world the words of the Prophet (Peace be upon him!) about the number of verses spoken.

8) We complete the bow and assume a normal standing position. Straightening up, we say:

  1. “Sami’Allahu liman hamidah.”
  2. “Rabbana wa lakal hamd.”
  1. Allah hears those who praise him.
  2. O our Lord, all praise belongs to You alone!

9) Having assumed a standing position, we immediately perform the sajdah bow, accompanying it with the takbir “Allahu Akbar.”

Note! When performing sajda, it is necessary to lower parts of the body to the floor gradually: first the knees are lowered, then the hands. The last ones to press to the floor are your nose and forehead. In this case, the head should be located between the arms spread to the sides, we press the fingers on the hands and point them towards the Kaaba. When performing sooting by a man, it is important to ensure that the elbows do not touch the floor surface and do not touch the body on the right and left. The feet should be placed parallel to the direction of the toes towards the Kaaba.

Having accepted the above position, we say:

"Subhana Rabbiyal A'lyaa."

Which means: “Glory to my Lord Almighty.” This phrase must be read three, five or seven times.

10) We take a sitting position, while saying “Allahu Akbar.” Now we need to take a new position. We bend our knees and place our hands on them. We are in this position for a couple of seconds - this time is enough to articulate the phrase “Subhanallah.” After this, you must again take the position of soot, while saying “Allahu Akbar.” Having reached the lowest point of prostration, we say: “Subhana Rabbiyal A'lyaa.” The number of utterances is three, five, seven times. The body should take approximately the same position as during the first soot.

11) We stand up, saying the words “Allahu Akbar” as we rise to our feet. We place our hands on the chest. This is how the first rakat of prayer ends for beginner men.

Second rakat

First, we need to re-carry out all the actions carried out since the reading of Surah Fatiha. There is only one difference in reading the sura - before it you need to say “Bis-mi Llyahi-Rrahmani-Rrahim”.

12) After reading Surah Fatihi, we articulate one of the surahs familiar to us. An excellent option is:

  • Kul huwa laahu ahad.
  • Allahu ssamad.
  • Lam yalid wa lam yulyad.
  • Wa lam yakullahu kufuvan ahad.
  • He - Allah - is one, Allah is eternal;
  • did not give birth and was not born,
  • and not one was equal to Him! (Sura 112 - “Ikhlas”).

Note! When performing namaz, you cannot read the same large surahs in different rakats: the only exception is Surah Fatiha, which is read in all rakats.

After reciting “Ikhlas” (or some other familiar surah), the novice man will have to make Ruku and Sazhda using the same method as in the first rakat. We do everything as described above until the 2nd Sajd. We accept the position for dua reading. This is done as follows: the man sits on left leg, the toes on the right foot must be bent so that they are directed towards the Qibla. We look at our knees.

13) In the position of dua, we read the text of Tashahud:

  • At-takhiyayatu Lillyayahi
  • Was-Salavaatu wat-Tayibat
  • As-Salayamu aleyka Ayukhan-nabiy
  • wa rahmatu Llaakhi wa barakayatukh.
  • Assalamu Aleyna wa ala ibaadi Llaahi-ssalihin
  • Ashhadu Allah ilaha ila Allahu wa ashhadu Anna Muhammadan Abduhu wa Rasuuluh.
  • Greetings, prayers and all good deeds belong only to Allah Almighty.
  • Peace be upon you, O Prophet, the mercy of Allah and His blessings
  • Peace be upon us, as well as on all the righteous servants of Allah, I testify that there is no god worthy of worship except Allah.
  • And I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.

Desirable action! When articulating the phrase “la illaha”, it is advisable to raise the forefinger right hand, at the words “illa Allahu” we lower our finger.

14) Without changing position, we say the dua “Salavat” - a very important text:

  • Allahumma sally ‘alaya sayidinaa muhammadin wa ‘alaaya eeli sayidinaa muhammad,
  • Kyama sallayte ‘alaya sayidinaa ibraakhim va ‘alaya eeli sayidinaa ibraakhim,
  • Wa baarik ‘alaya sayidinaa mukhammadinva ‘alaya eeli sayidinaa mukhammad,
  • Kamaa baarakte ‘alaya sayidinaa ibraakhimava ‘alaya eeli sayidinaa ibraakhima fil-‘aalamiin, innekya hamiidun majiid.
  • O Allah! Bless Muhammad and his family, as You blessed Ibrahim and his family.
  • And send down blessings on Muhammad and his family, just as You sent down blessings on Abraham and his family in all the worlds.
  • Verily, You are the Praised, the Glorified).

15) At the next stage of the second rakat of prayer for beginners, we have to read the dua:

  • AllahummainnizolamtunafsizulmankasirawalayagfiruzunuubayillaAnt.
  • Fagfirli magfiratam min ‘indik warhamni innaka Antal Gafuurur Rahiim.
  • O Allah, truly I have been extremely unfair to myself, and only You forgive sins. So forgive me on Your part and have mercy on me!
  • Verily, You are the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.

16) Now we need to turn to the Almighty with Greetings. To do this, look to the right while turning your neck. Eyes should be directed to the shoulder. While performing all these actions, we say:

  • Assalaiyama ’alaikum wa rahmatu-llaah (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you).

After this, you need to turn your head in left side, looking at his shoulder. We say the same phrase. The two-rak prayer is completed.

17) It's coming The final stage prayer. We pronounce the 255th verse of “Baqarah” - “Ayatul-kursi”. After this, you need to articulate the tasbih “Subhanallah” 33 times, and “Alhamdulillah” and “Allahu Akbar” the same number of times.

Having finished reciting these verses, we read:

  • La ilaha illalah wahdahu la sharikalyah,
  • lyahul mulku wa lyahul hamdu wa hua ala kulli shayin kadir.

We raise our hands to chest level, fixing this position, read the dua of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him!). You can read other duas that do not conflict with Shariah norms.

Three-fold prayer

After a novice man has mastered the ability to recite a two-rak'ah prayer, he must move on to learning the fard prayer, which consists of three rak'ahs.

The first part of the prayer corresponds to the two-rakt prayer described above, with the only difference being that the intention is expressed by pronouncing the takbir “Allahu Akbar” and the dua sana.

In the first rak'ah we recite Surah Fatiha, any of the small surahs known to us, make a hand, and two soots. After this, we stand on the second rakat.

In the second rak'ah, the sequence of readings and actions is as follows:

  1. Surah "Fatiha";
  2. A short surah;
  3. Hand;
  4. Soot;
  5. Second soot.
  6. Dua Tashahud.

After the dua, we stand on the third rakat.

In the third rak'ah, the worshiper must recite Surah Fatihah, then make ruku, soot and the second soot. We take a pose to read the dua. We consistently articulate the dua “Tashahud”, “Salavat”, and say:

Allahumma inni zolyamtu nafsi.

After this verse, you need to make a greeting to Allah by turning your head successively from right to left and saying: Assalaiyamu 'alaikum wa rahmatu-llaah.

Four-rak sunnah and nafl prayers

Sunnah prayer is special, so a beginner needs to remember well how to do it correctly. The reading is generally identical to the reading of the fard prayer, but in the 3rd and 4th rak'ahs after the Fatiha surah, it is necessary to read one of the well-known short surahs. The Ikamat is not read in Sunnah prayers.

Note! If you are performing sunnah or nafl prayer, you must make an intention for it!

How to read Witr prayer

There are three rak'ahs in Witr prayer. The prayer is read in a special way, so it is unique in comparison with other appeals to the Lord.

The worshiper faces the Kaaba and indicates the intention to perform namaz by saying “Allahu Akbar” and dua Sana. Then you need to take a position for the first rakat.

In the first rak'ah we read "Fatiha", a short surah, make a hand, two sajds.

In the second rakat we repeat “Fatiha”, surah, make a hand, two sajds, sit down and articulate the dua “Tashahud”.

In the third rak'ah, everything is done according to the same pattern as in the first, but the short surah should be different from those already pronounced. Great option V in this case Surah Falyak will become:

  • Kul a'uzuu bi-rabbi l-falak.
  • Minn sharri maa halak.
  • Wa minn sharri ‘gaasikyyn izaa vak’ab.
  • Wa min sharri nafazaati fii l-“ukad.
  • Wa minn sharri haasidin isaa hasad.”

Say: “I seek refuge with the Lord of the dawn from the evil of what He has created, from the evil of darkness when it comes, from the evil of witches who spit on knots, from the evil of the envious when he envyes.

“O Allah! We ask you to lead us along the true path, we ask You for forgiveness and we repent. We believe in You and rely on You. We praise You in the best possible way. We thank You and are not unfaithful. We reject and renounce those who do not obey You. O Allah! We worship you alone, pray and make prostrations to the ground. We strive and direct ourselves towards You. We hope in Your Mercy and fear Your punishment. Verily, Thy punishment befalls the disbelievers!”

For beginner men who have not yet memorized the rather complex dua “Qunut”, it is permissible to read the following dua:

“Rabbana atina fi-d-Dunya hasanatan wa fi-l-Akhirati hasanatan wa kyna azaban-Nar.”

Which means: “Our Lord! Give us good things in this and the next life, protect us from the fire of Hell.”

If this dua has not yet been learned by those praying, you can say three times: “Ya, Rabbi!”, which means: “Oh, Creator!”

Having coped with the pronouncement of the dua, we say “Allahu Akbar”, make a hand and two sajds, sit down, read “Tashahud”, “Salavat”, articulate “Allahumma inni zolamtu nafsi”, we greet Allah, as in the three-rak prayer. Vitr is completed.

Video: how to read prayer for a man according to the Hanafi madhhab (according to Hanafi)

Look detailed description the order of performing solyat (prayer) for a man according to the Hanafi madhhab.

“He who points out good is like the one who does it”

22:12 2014

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Pray as you saw me praying”(Bukhari)

Below we have collected for you training videos and a detailed description of the entire prayer from beginning to end. May this material benefit Muslims.

Brief training in prayer. For those who want to learn, but don't know where to start.

Every Muslim should know that the acceptance of his actions by Allah Almighty depends on his compliance with the following two conditions: Firstly, the act must be done sincerely and only for the sake of Allah Almighty. Moreover, when performing this act, a Muslim should fear only Allah, love Him more than anything else and hope only for His mercy. Secondly, a Muslim must perform this or that act in the same way as the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, did it, i.e. in accordance with his Sunnah.

The absence of one of these conditions makes the ritual of worship invalid, be it prayer, ablution, fasting, zakat, etc. Therefore, in an effort to put an end to disagreements and misunderstandings related to prayer and purification, we exclusively relied on the verses when writing this article Holy Quran And authentic hadiths Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

However, there is no need to say the intention out loud, because the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, did not say the intention out loud before ablution, prayer and other rites of worship. Starting the small ablution, you must say: “Bi-smi-llah!” (“In the name of Allah!”). Then you need to wash your hands three times. Then you need to rinse your mouth and nose three times and wash your face three times from one ear to the other and from where the hair grows to the end of the jaw (or beard). Then you need to wash both hands three times from the fingertips to the elbows inclusive, starting with the right hand. Then you need to wet your palms and rub your head with them. O Allah! Make me one of the repentant and make me one of the self-purifying!”)

GREAT WASH

Actions that invalidate sand ablution

Anything that invalidates wudu and wudu as stated earlier will also invalidate wudu. If, after performing ablution with sand, water is found or it becomes possible to use it, then ablution with sand also becomes invalid. A person who has performed namaz after he has performed ablution with sand should not perform this namaz again if he finds water. The expiration of a particular prayer does not invalidate sand ablution.

Procedure for performing sand ablution

After a person intends to perform a sand bath, he must say: “Bi-smi-l-lyah!” (“In the name of Allah!”), and then place your palms once on the place chosen for performing ablution with sand. Then you need to clean your palms of sand by blowing on them or clapping them together. Then you should wipe your face and hands with your palms.

Sand washing is permitted only with clean sand or similar substances.

You cannot perform ablution with sand in the presence of water, as this is contrary to Sharia, and in this case, the performed prayer will be considered invalid. Therefore, you cannot perform ablution with sand in the presence of water, even if the time of prayer is coming to an end: you must perform a small or large ablution with water, and then perform the prayer.

NAMAZ

Allah Almighty said: “But they were ordered only to worship Allah, serving him sincerely, like monotheists, to perform prayer and pay zakat. This is the right faith” (al-Bayyina, 98:5).

Malik ibn al-Khuwayris, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: “Perform prayer as I do.”

Then he should place the palm of his right hand on the hand of his left and place both hands on his chest. Then he must say the opening prayer: “Subhanaka-llahumma wa bi-hamdika wa tabaraka-smuka wa ta’ala jadduka wa la ilaha gairuk!” (“Glorified are You, O Allah! Praise be to You! Blessed is Your name! As he descends, he must say: “Allahu Akbar!” When making a prostration, he must place his forehead and nose, both palms, both knees and the tips of the toes of both feet on the ground, move his elbows away from the body and not put them on the ground, point the tips of his fingers towards Mecca, move his knees away from each other and connect feet In this position, he must say three times: “Subhana rabbiyal-a’la!” (“Pure is my Supreme Lord!”) It is advisable to add to this the words: “Subhanaka-l-lahumma Rabbana wa bi-hamdik! Then he must raise his head from a bow to the ground, while saying “Allahu Akbar!” After this, he must sit on his left leg, place his right foot vertically, pointing the toes of his right foot towards the Kaaba, put right palm on right thigh, while opening your fingers, and left palm Place it on your left thigh in the same way. While in this position, he must say: “Rabbi-gfir li, va-rhamni, va-khdini, va-rzukni, va-jburni, va-afini!” (“Lord! Forgive me! Have mercy on me! Guide me on the straight path! Grant me inheritance! His Throne (the Foot of the Throne) embraces the heavens and the earth, and He is not burdened by their protection. 255). Between those who read this verse after prayer and heaven there will only be death.

It is also advisable to read Surah al-Ikhlas (Sincerity) after prayer: “Bi-smi-llahi-r-rahmani-r-rahim! Kul huwa-llahu ahad! Allahu samad! Lam yalid wa lam yulid! Wa lam yaku-l-lyahu kufuvan ahad!” (“In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful! Say: “He is Allah the One, Allah the Self-sufficient. Wa min sharri hasidin iza hasad!” (“In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful! Say: “I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn from the evil of what He has created, from the evil of darkness when it comes, from the evil of witches who spit on knots, from the evil of the envious when he envies."

Sura “an-Nas” (“People”): “Bi-smi-llahi-r-rahmani-r-rahim! Kul a'uzu bi-rabbi-n-us! Maliki-n-us! Ilyahi-n-us! Min sharri-l-waswasi-l-khannas! Al-lyazi yuvasviu fi suduri-n-us! Mina-l-jinnati va-n-us!” (“In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful! Say: “I seek refuge in the Lord of men, the King of men, the God of men, from the evil of the tempter who retreats (or shrinks) at the remembrance of Allah, who inspires in the breasts of men and is from the jinn and men.”" ).

Say 10 times after dawn and sunset prayers: “La ilaha illa-l-lahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahu-l-mulku wa-lahu-l-hamdu yukhyi va-yumit, wa-huva ala kulli shey’in kadir!” (“There is no deity except Allah alone, Who has no partners! Power and praise belong to Him! He gives life and kills! He is capable of every thing!”)

It is also advisable to say after dawn prayer: “Allahumma inni as’aluka ilman nafi’a, wa rizkan tayyiba, wa amalyan mutakabbala!” (“O Allah! I ask You for useful knowledge, a wonderful destiny and deeds that You will accept!”)

Each religion has its own requirements and nuances for serving God. For Christians they are not very strict. A person needs to attend church and fast on holidays, but Muslims have quite high requirements for serving Allah.

You should approach the Almighty responsibly and reverently. At first the ritual may seem complicated, but then it will become a connection between Allah and the believer. Prayer for help and forgiveness, as well as sincere glorification of the Lord, will help you with this. The rules for reading prayers are simple, and if you read them, you will understand this.

Rules for reading prayer

First rule

Namaz is daily prayer which is performed 5 times a day. Therefore, it is necessary to know the prayer cycle, which consists of rakats - the order of actions and words.

1. “Fajr” – morning prayer, begins when the darkness of the night dissipates and ends with the first rays of the sun. It consists of 2 rak'ahs. In order to know not only the sequence, but also to learn the ritual itself, now you will learn what morning prayer is.

A) The person praying must turn towards the qibla (the house of Allah), raise his hands to his shoulders and say: “Allah u Akbar” (Allah is the Greatest).
b) Then fold your right hand over your left and say: “I turn to Allah for protection from the damned shaitan.”
V) Now I must read Surah Al-Fatihah.

To visually familiarize yourself with how to read the prayer correctly, at the end of the article we will provide you with video lessons.

G) Next action is to read an additional sura from the Koran.
d) After this, the worshiper makes a bow with the words “Allah u Akbar.”
e) Also, this bow should be accompanied by the statement: “Holy is my Great Lord” (three times).
and) Now he can straighten up, only at the same time say: “The Almighty hears those who praise Him. Our Lord, praise be to You alone.”
h) The statement “Allahu Akbar” should be accompanied by a bow to the ground and the pronunciation: “Holy is my Supreme Lord” (three times).
And) After this, the believer straightens up with the words “Allahu Akbar,” remains a little in a sitting position and begins to ask for forgiveness: “My Lord, forgive me, my Lord, forgive me.”
j)“Allahu Akbar”, the believer makes a second bow to the ground, which is accompanied three times by the phrase: “Subhana rabbiyal-a`la” (Holy is my Supreme Lord).

The first rak'ah is over. The worshiper straightens up with the words “Allahu Akbar,” stands up and begins the second rak’ah. Everything repeats itself again.

To) The appeal to the Lord ends with him straightening up with the words “Allahu Akbar” and reciting prayers on his knees. These prayers are called “salavat” and “tahiyyat”.
l) And at the end, he must turn his head to the right and say: Assalamu `alaikum wa rahmatu-llah? (Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah), and then do the same to the left side.

It is the duty of all Muslims to learn how to read prayer. This is not such a difficult task.

2. "Zuhr"- the second prayer occurs at noon. At this time, the sun begins to lean west from its zenith point. The ritual consists of four rak'ahs.

3. "Asr"- the third prayer takes place after lunch. Then objects begin to cast shadows. During prayer the sun turns red. There are also four rak'ahs in this prayer.

4. "Maghreb" - the fourth prayer, it is also called sunset prayer. It consists of three rak'ahs. Then the sun goes below the horizon and the prayer smoothly moves into the fifth prayer.

5. As soon as the redness of the sun gives way to darkness, the time comes "Ishi"- night prayer. Four rakaats.

There are practically no differences in prayers, only in the second raakat, after Sujud, the believer does not get up immediately, but while sitting reads the “tahiyyat” prayer. Then, with the words “Allahu Akbar,” he gets up from his knees and begins the third rak’ah. “Al-Fatihi” is an additional surah, read only in the first two rakats, and in the third it is no longer read.

Second rule

Ablution. It can be small (wudu) and large (ghusl). The prayer is not valid unless the ritual of purity is observed. Voodoo involves washing in a certain order different parts bodies.

Third rule

Cloth. You cannot wear tight-fitting clothes, things, like the body, must be clean, for men, cover the shoulders and the area of the knees to the waist. For girls, the whole body remains closed, except for the hands and arms.

Fourth rule

The fourth rule says that when a person prays, he should be turned towards the qibla. You can get your bearings by the mosques: they were built towards Mecca.

Fifth rule

This rule says that a Muslim's prayer should come from the heart.

Now some rules for girls

Allah cannot accept prayer if a girl prays without a veil. You cannot wear tight or transparent clothing. Ablution will not be valid if the girls’ skin is smeared with paint, glue and other means, and also if water does not get on the nails due to the varnish. The only exception can be natural paints. When a girl makes movements, she needs to be more collected: do not raise her arms high, press her elbows to her sides, keep her legs together, and when bowing, press her stomach to her hips. Muslim women can go to mosques, but it is better to pray at home.

Ablution. Namaz. Performing prayer. How to do namaz?

Many people and even those who were born Muslim do not know how start praying (perform namaz). Some can't start praying- something is bothering them. Some are afraid start praying because they think that over time they will abandon this matter. Only the Almighty knows the future, and these doubts are the tricks of the shaitan.
Leaving prayer- a grave sin that can lead a person into unbelief - the unfaithful will burn forever in hell.
Namaz is second in importance pillar of Islam, after Shagyadata(certificate- "There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his prophet").
Namaz is the duty of a Muslim.

And so let's get started... Where to start performing prayer?

First of all, this is ablution before prayer. (Small ablution). We do everything in order.

In Arabic we read from right to left.

Intention for ablution: Bismillagyi RahImani RahIim. I intend to perform the obligatory ablution for the sake of Allah Almighty, Allahu Akbar.

1. Then wash your hands, we read the prayer: اَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذي جَعَلَ الْماءَ طَهُورًا
"Al-khIamdu lillagyi-llazi jagIalal-maa tagyuraa" - Praise be to Allah, who made water purifying.

2. Face wash, we read the following: اَللّهُمَّ بَيِّضْ وَجْهي بِنُورِكَ يَوْمَ تَبْيَضُّ وُجُوهُ أَوْلِيائِكَ وَلا تُسَوِّدْ وَجْهي بِظُلُماتِكَ يَوْمَ تَسْوَدُّ وُجُوهُ أَعْدائِكَ
"Allagyumma bayyiz vajgyi binurika yavma tabyazzu vujugyu avliyika wa la tusavvid vajgyi bizulumatika yavma tasvaddu vujugyu gidaika" - O Allah! Illuminate my face with Your nour on the day when the faces of Your favorites are illuminated, and do not darken my face with Your darkness on the day when the faces of Your enemies are blackened.

3. We wash our right hand, to the forearm (from the tip of the fingers to just above the elbow). We read the following: اَللّهُمَّ أَعْطِني كِتابي بِيَميني وَحاسِبْني حِسابًا يَسيرًا
"Allagumma agItIini kitabi biyamini wa hasibni hisaban yasira." - O Allah, offer me my records of earthly deeds on the Day of Judgment from right side and reprimand me with an easy report.

4. We wash our face left hand , up to the forearm (from the tip of the fingers to just above the elbow). We read the following: اَللّهُمَّ لا تُعْطِني كِتابي بِشِمالي وَلا مِنْ وَراءِ ظَهْري
"Allagyumma la tugItIini kitabi bishimali wa la min varai zagri." - O Allah, do not offer me my notes from the left and behind.

5. We wipe our heads (with the moistened palms of both hands, we draw from the forehead to the back of the head (like in shampoo commercials) three times, each time with new water). We read:
اَللّهُمَّ حَرِّمْ شَعْري وَبَشَري عَلَى النّارِ
"Allagyumma hIarram shahIri va bashari gIala-nnar." - O Allah, make my hair and skin prohibited from the fire of Hell.

6. Washing the right foot (I wash my feet with my left hand, although it’s a little inconvenient, but definitely with my left hand). At the same time we read: اَللّهُمَّ ثَبِّتْ قَدَمَيَّ عَلَى الصِّراطِ يَوْمَ تَزِلُّ فيهِ الْأَقْدامُ
"Allagyumma sabbat kadamaya gIala-siratIi yavma tazilu figyil-aqdam." - O Allah, strengthen my feet on the Sirat Bridge on the day when they slide.

7. Washing the left leg (I also wash with my left hand). We read the same as when washing the right foot.

If you don’t know prayers, then you can read surahs or verses from the Koran. For example suras 112-114. One sura for each arm or leg and of course the face. When wetting the head one can say Allahu Akbar (Allah is great) or Bismillagyi rahImani rahIim(in the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

After ablution, it is advisable to read duqIa (raising my palms to the level of my face, turning my palms to the sky - I read all the arcs in this way). We read: prayer:

O Allah, make me of those who repent of their sins, and make me of those who maintain purity, and make me of Your pious servants who serve You well. You are pure from all shortcomings, praise be to You. I testify that there is nothing worthy of worship except You. I ask You for forgiveness and repent before You. And the blessings of Allah be upon our master Muhammad, his family and companions, peace and prosperity to them.

Namaz: Performing namaz. How to do namaz?

After performing ablution, the Muslim can begin prayer. Exists five obligatory prayers which a Muslim is obliged to perform every day.
Five obligatory prayers these are: 1. Morning, 2. Midday (dining) 3. Afternoon (afternoon), 4. Evening, 5. Night.
Morning prayer consists of 2 rak'ahs; Evening prayer consists of 3 rak'ahs; Midday, Afternoon and Night consist of 4 rak'ahs. We will describe what rakats are below.

And so, let's start performing prayer.

Standing on the prayer mat (we will consider the mat as a place for prayer). Lay out the rug so that when you stand up you look at it towards the Kaaba(Qibla). Any prayer is performed facing the Kaaba.

Making an intention(for example, for an evening prayer of 3 rakats): Bismillagyi RahImani RahIim. I intend to perform the obligatory evening prayer of three rak'ahs, for the sake of Allah, Allahu akbar ( at the moment when we say Allahu Akbar, raise our hands with with open palms, slightly touching your earlobes with your thumbs). Then we lower our palms to the area under the heart, first place the left palm and the right one on top of it. And now you are already in prayer.

Let's make the first rak'ah.

1. In this position we read Surah Al-FatihIa:

1 بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيم
"Bismillagy rahImani rahIim"- in the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

2 الْحَمْدُ للّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِين
"AlhIamdulillahyi rabbil gyalamin" - Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

3 الرَّحْمـنِ الرَّحِيم
"Ar-RahImani-r-RahIim" - The Gracious, the Merciful.

4 مَـالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّين
"Maliki Yaumiddin" - Lord of the Day of Retribution.

5 إِيَّاك نَعْبُدُ وإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِين
"Iyyaka nagIbud wa iyaka nastagIin" - Only to You is our worship, only to You is our prayer for salvation.

6 اهدِنَــــا الصِّرَاطَ المُستَقِيمَ
"Igdina siratIal mustaqim" - Lead us on the straight path.

7 صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنعَمتَ عَلَيهِمْ غَيرِ المَغضُوبِ عَلَيهِمْ وَلاَ الضَّالِّين
"SiratIal lyaziina angIamta gIalaigyim, gairil magzubi alyaigyim va lyazooalin"- The path of those to whom You have bestowed Your mercy, not those on whom Your wrath has fallen, and not those who have fallen into error.

Amen! (Amen Rabb-al gIalamin).

2. After Surahs Al-FatihIa, Pronounce Alahu Akbar and bend forward and place our palms on our knees (become the letter "G" -bow from the waist). We pronounce:
سبحان ربي العظيم
"SubhIana Rabbi-l-Giazim" - My Great Lord is impeccable! 3 times.

3. We straighten up, saying:
سمع الله لمن حمده
"SamigIa-Llagyu li-man xIamida" - May Allah hear the one who praises Him!

4. After this, saying Allahu Akbar let's go to prostration (judging). First, place your palms on the mat (if your health allows it, if it doesn’t work out, then you can fall to your knees and only then put your palms down), then we touch the rest of the mat, these are: knees, face. In general, seven parts of the body should touch the mat: your face (forehead, nose), palms, knees and the balls of your toes. Palms should be directed in the same direction as the person praying (to the sideKaaba- Necessarily), put them at shoulder level.
In this situation we read:
سبحان ربي الأعلى
"Subhana Rabbi-l-Gial" - Impeccable is my Supreme Lord! 3 times.

5. Before lifting your forehead from the mat, you should say Allahu Akbar and only then sit down. We sit down so that our buttocks rest on our heels. We place our palms on our knees. This moment is called "sitting between judgments" We freeze in this position for 2-3 seconds.

6. Having said Allahu Akbar, place your palms on the mat again and touch your face (forehead and nose) to the mat. Those. we do the same as in the fourth point. After reading
"Subhana Rabbi-l-Gial"- 3 times, we say Allahu Akbar and get up. And we find ourselves in the same situation as in point 1. One rak'ah completed!!!

Second rak'ah- everything is done the same as in the first one. But now after point 6 we don’t get up, but remain in the position "sitting". We also leave the palm of our left hand on our knees, and clench our right palm into a fist, leaving the index finger straight (preferably semi-straight). In this situation we read: AttahIiyatu.

"At-TahIyyyatu-mubarakatu-salyawatu-ttIayyibatu lillag. - All greetings, blessings, prayers and good deeds belong to Allah. Prophet, peace be upon you, the mercy of Allah and His blessing. Peace be upon us and the God-fearing, pious servants of Allah. I testify with my tongue, acknowledge and believe in my heart that there is nothing worthy of worship except Allah, and I once again testify, acknowledge and believe in my heart that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
O Allah! Grant more honor and greatness to Prophet Muhammad and his family, just as You gave honor and greatness to Prophet Ibrahim and his family. O Allah! Give more blessings to Prophet Muhammad and his family, just as you gave blessings to Prophet Ibrahim and his family - in all the worlds. Verily, You are the Praised One and We praise You.

In this case, the salavat is given: "As-Salat al-Ibrahimiyya"(because we can’t find the salavat we need yet)

When you read Shagyadat(testimony) in the first part ( Ashgyadu allya ilyagya illallag) tear off the index finger from the knee by 3-4 centimeters, in the second ( va ashgyadu anna Muhammad-rrasulullah) lower to a level of 1-2 cm. Do not lower your finger or pull (this is important!). We say Akbar to Allah and stand up, as in point 1 - two rak'ahs are done.

Let's do one more rak'ah and read again AttahIiyatu to finish the prayer because this is the last third rak'ah, turn your head to the right and say: "As-salamu gIalaikum va RahImatul-lag", then turn left and say the same thing.

So you have performed the evening three rak'ah prayer.

This prayer performed according to Shafi'i mazgyab.

I would like to draw your attention to the fact that this is the easiest way to perform prayer for beginners. Over time, when you become more knowledgeable, you can add short surahs and verses from the Koran to your prayer, read dugIa, etc.
Namaz is performed only in Arabic.

If you notice any mistakes, please correct me, I am not an alim and I could be wrong. If there is a text of Attukhiyatu in Arabic and a transcription, please show me.

It starts from the moment of dawn and lasts until the sun rises. Morning prayer consists of four rak'ahs, two of which are sunnah and two are fard. First, 2 rakats are performed as sunnah, then 2 rakats are performed as fard.

Sunnah of morning prayer

First rak'ah

“For the sake of Allah, I intend to perform 2 rakats of the sunnah of the morning (Fajr or Subh) prayer”. (Fig. 1)
Raise both hands, fingers apart, palms facing the Qibla, to ear level, touching your earlobes with your thumbs (women raise their hands at chest level) and say "Allahu Akbar"
, then and (Fig. 3)

With your hands down, say: "Allahu Akbar" "Subhana-Rabbiyal-"aziym" "Samigallahu-limyan-hamidah" speak afterwards "Rabbana wa lakal hamd"(Fig. 4) Then speak "Allahu Akbar" "Subhana-Rabbiyal-Agyla" "Allahu Akbar"

And again in words "Allahu Akbar" descend into soot again and say again: "Subhana-Rabbiyal-Agyla"- 3 times. After that with the words "Allahu Akbar" rise from soot to the second rak'ah. (Fig. 6)

Second rak'ah

Speak "Bismillahi r-rahmaani r-rahim"(Fig. 3)

With your hands down, say: "Allahu Akbar" and make a hand" (waist bow). While bowing, say: "Subhana-Rabbiyal-"aziym"- 3 times. After the hand, straighten your body until vertical position, saying: "Samigallahu-limyan-hamidah" speak afterwards "Rabbana wa lakal hamd"(Fig. 4) Then speak "Allahu Akbar", perform sajda (bow to the ground). When performing soot, you must first kneel down, then lean on both hands, and only after that, touch the soot area with your forehead and nose. When bowing, say: "Subhana-Rabbiyal-Agyla"- 3 times. After that with the words "Allahu Akbar" rise from the soot to a sitting position after pausing in this position for 2-3 seconds (Fig. 5)

And again, with the words “Allahu Akbar”, descend into soot again and say again: "Subhana-Rabbiyal-Agyla"- 3 times. Then say "Allahu Akbar" rise from the soot to a sitting position and read the arc of Attahiyat "Attahiyaty lillahi vassalavaty vatayibyatu. Assalamy aleyke ayukhannabiyu wa rahmatyllahi wa barakatyh. Assalamy aleina va gala gyybadillahi s-salihiin. Ashhady alla illaha illallah. Wa ashhad y Anna Muhammadan. Then read Salavat "Allahuma sally ala Muhammadin wa ala ali Muhammad, kyama sallayta ala Ibrahima wa ala ali Ibrahima, innakya Hamidum-Majid. Allahuma, barik ala Muhammadin wa ala ali Muhammad, kyama barakta ala Ibrahima wa ala ali Ibrahima, innakya X amidum-Majid “Then read the dua of Rabban (Fig. 5)

Say a greeting: turning your head first towards the right shoulder, and then towards the left. (Fig. 7)

This completes the prayer.

Then we recite two rak’ats of fard. Fard morning prayer. In principle, fard and sunnah prayers are no different from each other, only the intention that you perform fard prayer changes and for men, as well as those who have become imams, you need to read surahs and takbirs aloud in prayer "Allahu Akbar".

Fard of morning prayer

The fard of the morning prayer, in principle, is no different from the sunnah of the prayer, only the intention that you perform the fard prayer changes and for men, as well as those who have become imams, you need to read Surah al-Fatihah in prayer and short surah, takbirs "Allahu Akbar", some dhikrs out loud.

First rak'ah

Standing, make the intention (niyat) to perform namaz: "For the sake of Allah, I intend to perform 2 rak'ahs of the morning (Fajr or Subh) fard prayer". (Fig. 1) Raise both hands, fingers apart, palms towards the Qibla, to ear level, touching your earlobes with your thumbs (women raise their hands at chest level) and say "Allahu Akbar", then place your right hand with the palm of your left hand, clasping the little finger and thumb of your right hand around the wrist of your left hand, and lower your folded hands in this way just below your navel (women place their hands at chest level). (Fig. 2)
Standing in this position, read the du'a Sanaa "Subhaanakya allaahumma wa bihamdika, wa tabaarakyasmuka, wa ta'alaya jadduka, wa laya ilyayahe gairuk", then "Auzu billahi minashshaitaanir-rajim" And "Bismillahi r-rahmaani r-rahim" after you read Surah al-Fatiha "Alhamdu lillahi rabbil" alamin. Arrahmaanir-rahim. Maaliki Yaumiddin. Iyyakya na "bydy va iyayakya nasta"yyn. Ikhdina s-syraatal mystekyim. Syraatallyazina an "amta" aleihim gairil magdubi "aleihim valad-daaaalliin. Aamin!" after Surah al-Fatiha, we read another short surah or one long verse, for example Surah al-Kawsar "Inna a"taynakal Kyausar. Fasalli li Rabbiqa uanhar. inna shani akya huva l-abtar""Amine"

With your hands down, say: "Allahu Akbar" "Subhana-Rabbiyal-"aziym"- 3 times. After the hand, straighten your body to a vertical position, saying: "Samigallahu-limyan-hamidah" "Rabbana wa lakal hamd"(Fig. 4)
Then speak "Allahu Akbar" "Subhana-Rabbiyal-Agyla"- 3 times. After that with the words "Allahu Akbar"

And again in words "Allahu Akbar" "Subhana-Rabbiyal-Agyla"- 3 times. After that with the words "Allahu Akbar"(Imam, as well as men read aloud) rise from the soot to the second rak'ah. (Fig. 6)

Ikhdina s-syraatal mystekyim. Syraatallyazina an "amta" aleihim gairil magdubi "aleihim valad-daaaalliin. Aamin!" after Surah al-Fatiha, we read another short surah or one long verse, for example Surah al-Ikhlas"Kul huva Allahahu Ahad. Allahahu s-samad. Lam yalid wa lam yuulyad. Wa lam yakullahuu kufuvan ahad" "Inna a"taynakal Kyausar. Fasalli li Rabbiqa uanhar. inna shani akya huva l-abtar"(Sura al-Fatiha and a short surah are read aloud by the imam, as well as men,

With your hands down, say: "Allahu Akbar" pronounced silently) (Fig. 3) "Subhana-Rabbiyal-"aziym"- 3 times. After the hand, straighten your body to a vertical position, saying: "Samigallahu-limyan-hamidah"(the imam, as well as the men, read aloud) and perform ruku" (waist bow). While bowing, say: "Rabbana wa lakal hamd"(Fig. 4)

Then read Salavat "Allahuma sally ala Muhammadin wa ala ali Muhammad, kyama sallayta ala Ibrahima wa ala ali Ibrahima, innakya Hamidum-Majid. Allahuma, barik ala Muhammadin wa ala ali Muhammad, kyama barakta ala Ibrahima wa ala ali Ibrahima, innakya X amidum-Majid "Then read the du"a of Rabban“Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan va fil-akhyrati hasanat va kyna ‘azaban-nar”

. (Fig. 5) Say greeting:"Assalamu galekum wa rahmatullah"
