Hexamethylenetetramine finds wide application and as an anti-influenza agent. The drug is prescribed orally in powders and tablets and intravenously in the form of a 40% solution.

Available in powder and tablets of 0.25 and 0.5 g, as well as in ampoules of 5-10 ml of 40% solution. Should be stored in well sealed jars.
