pharmachologic effect

Bifidumbacterin forte® capsules 5 doses is a microbial mass of living antagonistically active bifidobacteria of the species Bifidobacterium bifidum No. 1, sorbed on activated carbon particles, lyophilized, mixed with lactose and packaged in hard gelatin capsules (capsule body white, capsule cap blue). The contents of the capsules are a light gray to dark gray powder with black coal particles and possible beige inclusions, with a faint sour milk odor. BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES The effect of the drug is due to bifidobacteria, which are antagonists wide range pathogenic (shigella, salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus etc.) and conditionally pathogenic (Proteus, Klebsiella, etc.) microorganisms. Bifidobacteria sorbed on a specially prepared carrier provide increased clinical effectiveness and rapid restoration of normal microflora. Microflora, being a natural biosorbent, accumulates significant quantities of toxic substances entering from the outside or formed in the body and decomposes them into non-toxic components. Sorbed bifidobacteria, forming microcolonies, intensively activate recovery and metabolic processes, parietal digestion, synthesis of vitamins and amino acids, immune protection body.

Is Bifidumbacterin useful?

Bifidumbacterin is well known as an effective probiotic that can be used from the first days of life. It is prescribed even to newborns in order to quickly normalize the microflora of their immature intestines. It is produced in various forms: bottles, ampoules, candles, powder, capsules. What does this miracle drug consist of? Bifidumbacterin, which is sold in ampoules or vials, contains bacteria that have been specially dried. These are live bacteria that have been first frozen and then dried. This Bifidumbacterin quickly provides the body with live bacteria (10*7). In addition to the bacteria themselves, this drug also contains auxiliary substances. They are grown and preserved in a medium of milk, sugar and gelatin.

You can use other forms of Bifidumbacterin. The powder of this drug, for example, contains a mass of living microbes in an amount of 10 * 8. These microbes were previously purified from their growing environment, unlike those in ampoules and vials. But if you come across the drug Bifidumbacterin-forte, then this prefix means that it contains colony-forming organisms. To immobilize them, a bone stone is used Activated carbon. This technique is called immobilization (immobilization). Thanks to it, Bifidumbacterin in powder form is used to locally colonize certain mucous membranes. This technique is used when you need to quickly restore normal microflora in the gastrointestinal tract. Bifidumbacterin-forte can be either in powder or capsules. Each capsule contains five doses of beneficial bacteria.

Bifidumbacterin is prescribed for of various origins dysbacteriosis. By the way, not only antibiotics can provoke dysbiosis. It may occur due to anti-inflammatory non-steroidal drugs, hormones, courses of treatment with certain medications. Even severe stress can trigger the appearance of dysbiosis. It is very useful to use Bifidumbacterin in cases where dysbacteriosis occurs against the background of various pathologies of the digestive tract, liver, and bile ducts. It is also used to alleviate the condition of patients with pneumonia, bronchitis (chronic), and urogenital inflammation.

In addition, Bifidumbacterin is also used for acute intestinal infections(staphylococcal enterocolitis, rotavirus, salmonellosis, shigellosis), as well as foodborne toxic infections. If the patient suffers from an intestinal infection of unknown origin, then Bifidumbacterin is used to combat it. This unique drug helps with malabsorption syndrome, bacterial colpitis, and to combat constipation. For vaginosis, it helps restore the vaginal microflora. Sometimes doctors may prescribe Bifidumbacterin to eliminate the effects of allergies if they are associated with manifestations of dysbacteriosis. It is indispensable for pathological conditions not only the intestines, but also the liver and pancreas. Bifidumbacterin is a preparation that consists of a microbial mass of living but dried bifidobacteria immobilized on stone fruit. Bifidumbacterin, instructions for use of which are given below, contains at least 10^7 CFU of bifidobacteria in one sachet.

Pharmacological properties

The therapeutic effect of bifidumbacterin is due to the living bacteria it contains, which have antagonistic activity against a large number of pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms. The high content of bifidobacteria contained in the preparation makes it possible to normalize the intestinal microflora, and therefore improve the activity of the gastrointestinal tract, parietal digestion, metabolic processes and increase the body's resistance.

Indications for use

Bifidumbacterin is used to normalize the microbiocenosis of the gastrointestinal tract (correction of microflora in the intestines), stimulate the functional activity of the digestive system, for the prevention of nosocomial infections in hospitals and maternity hospitals, and also has detoxifying properties.

Bifidumbacterin is prescribed to both adults and children for the treatment of the following diseases:

  • chronic constipation;
  • bacterial colpitis and vaginosis;
  • intestinal dysbiosis, including for prophylactic purposes during treatment with hormones, antibiotics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, chemotherapy or radiation therapy, stress;
  • intestinal infections of unknown origin and food toxic infections;
  • allergic reactions accompanied by dysbiosis;
  • acute intestinal infections (rotavirus infection, salmonellosis, shigellosis, staphylococcal enterocolitis);
  • intestinal dysbiosis, which is caused by various diseases, including those that affect the digestive tract (pancreatitis, chronic diseases of the biliary tract and liver, cholecystitis, etc.);
  • malabsorption syndromes;
  • dysbacteriosis in bronchitis, pneumonia, inflammatory diseases of the urogenital tract;
  • for the correction of intestinal microflora in people with pathologies of the intestines, pancreas or liver in the preoperative period or after operations.

Bifidumbacterin is also used for the prevention of:

  • dysbacteriosis in children and adults who often suffer from acute respiratory viral infections;
  • mastitis in nursing mothers who are at risk.

In the treatment of children it is used for infectious diseases, including pneumonia or purulent-septic processes, and many others (rickets, anemia, allergic diathesis, malnutrition, early transfer of children from mother's milk to artificial nutrition or donor milk).

Instructions for use and dosage

Bifidumbacterin is taken orally with meals. It should be mixed with liquid food, preferably fermented milk or 50 ml of warm water, or with breast milk.
