From 2010 to the present, the development of medical and social examination issues is aimed at diseases and pathologies of the cervical spine, namely vertebrobasilar insufficiency syndrome, which is often found in elderly patients with atherosclerosis, arterial hypertension and various pathologies of the cervical spine. In both sections of research work, the goal of the research is to develop a modern unified approach to medical and social examination. At the same time, expert rehabilitation diagnostics included: clinical assessment, a combination of diagnostic procedures, psychological, social, professional diagnostics and consistent expert assessment: clinical form the underlying disease, the nosological form of the concomitant disease, the stage of the nosological process, the nature of the severity of the disease, the degree of activity of the inflammatory process, the type of dysfunction of the body, the degree functional disorders, determination of life limitations and disability groups.

Based on the study of respiratory diseases (chronic obstructive bronchitis, bronchial asthma, mixed pathologies - a combination of chronic obstructive bronchitis and bronchial asthma and concomitant pathology in the form of coronary heart disease and hypertension, two candidate dissertations were defended (Tangieva Kh.I., 2009, Pyankova I.V., 2007), methodological recommendations for expert doctors have been written.

A doctoral dissertation was defended on the section devoted to medical and social examination for dorsopathies of the cervical spine (Kukhta O.A., 2010). Work on this topic continues. A methodological manual was published for doctors (2010), “The use of complex therapeutic expert-rehabilitation diagnostics to assess violations of the static-dynamic function of the cervical spine in patients and disabled people due to dorsopathies.”
